I object to the building of this wind farm due to the impact this will have on the surrounding landscape. Not only are these an eyesore but they are also a fire hazard and should they break they release fibreglass fibres which can render the land useless. An inquiry should really be carried out to look at the true environmental impacts these will have.

The building of wind farms is very unenvironmentally friendly and pose serious issues to the surrounding area through the waste that is produced when a wind turbine breaksdown and the fire threat. The ramifications to animals is still being discovered with whale migratory patterns being effected and the full affects still not really know.

I oppose the development of a wind farm in this region of NSW as wind is not reliable and therefore is an inefficient way to produce energy. Having looked into going off grid in the Moulamein area wind would not be viable therefore why would you do it as a commercial scale.
Wind factories are also detrimental to wild life, particularly the migratory birds, which would include the Australasian Bittern that is endangered and migrate to the rice fields each year.

I object to Dinawan wind farm. Valuable farmland will be lost to the development. The socio economic impact has not been properly considered. The mental anguish inflicted on rural landholders has not been addressed.
I concur with Malcolm Roberts statement made August 2024 " Wind and Solar billionaires are going to leave a trail of environmental destruction across the country.
Coal mines, which are unfairly demonised, have to pay an environmental bond before they put a shovel in the ground. When the mine is finished, that money is used to restore the land to how it was before the mine was ever there.
Unlike coal, wind and solar do not have to pay environmental bonds. We're going to be left with a toxic wasteland of old wind turbines and toxic solar panels that no one will have the money to clean up.
Wind and solar aren't going to save the environment, they're going to ruin it.
Killing the environment, to “save the planet”. "
The project should be abandoned.

I am writing to share my observations and concerns about the current state of renewable energy in Australia. As part of my job, I travel extensively across the country, and I have witnessed firsthand the challenges associated with our renewable energy infrastructure.
Despite the significant investment and optimism surrounding renewable energy sources, I have heard that they often fail to provide the reliability and consistency that our electricity grid requires. This inconsistency is evident in various regions, where power shortages and outages have become increasingly common. Solar and wind energy are inherently intermittent and dependent on weather conditions. This variability poses a substantial risk to our energy security, particularly during peak demand periods or extreme weather events.
In my travels, I have also noticed the environmental impact of large-scale renewable projects. The construction of solar farms and wind turbines has led to habitat destruction and disruption of local ecosystems. The promise of clean energy must be balanced with the responsibility to protect our natural heritage.
Furthermore, the reliance on renewable energy has exposed vulnerabilities in our energy infrastructure. The need for backup power sources, highlights the current limitations of renewables. These solutions are often costly as is renewable energy.
Australia needs reliable energy generation
It is crucial that we address these issues by investing in a diverse energy mix that includes reliable and sustainable options. Advanced nuclear technology & jet engines powered by gas
Australia's energy policy must prioritize both sustainability and reliability. By acknowledging the current shortcomings and working towards innovative solutions, we can achieve a balanced approach that meets our energy needs while protecting our environment.
I hope this letter highlights the importance of re-evaluating our energy strategy. A comprehensive and realistic approach is essential for securing a reliable and sustainable energy future for Australia.

I am writing to express my opposition to the proposed wind project in Dinawan due to concerns about waste and decommissioning turbines, particularly the blades, have a limited lifespan, and the process generates a significant amount of waste, including non-recyclable composite materials used in the turbine & base. 200 turbines times 3 blades.
The disposal of these materials poses a serious environmental challenge.
Additionally, the potential for hazardous substances, such as oil and Bisphenol A to contaminate the environment during use is huge along with decommissioning
I am writing to express my opposition to the proposed wind project in Dinawan.
Here is a list of some endangered flora and fauna around Jerilderie ,New South Wales:
Endangered Flora:
1. Small Scurf-pea (Cullen parvum)
2. Slender Darling Pea (Swainsona murrayana)
3. Spiny Peppercress (Lepidium aschersonii)
4. Winged Peppercress (Lepidium monoplocoides)
5. Sandhill Spider Orchid (Caladenia arenaria)
Endangered Fauna:
1. Regent Honeyeater (Anthochaera phrygia)
2. Superb Parrot (Polytelis swainsonii)
3. Swift Parrot (Lathamus discolor)
4. Plains-wanderer (Pedionomus torquatus)
5. Southern Bell Frog (Litoria raniformis)
6. Growling Grass Frog (Litoria raniformis)
7. Grey-headed Flying Fox (Pteropus poliocephalus)
8. Striped Legless Lizard (Delma impar)
9. Squirrel Glider (Petaurus norfolcensis)
These species are part of the unique biodiversity of the region and face various threats from habitat loss.
Conservation efforts are essential to protect and preserve these endangered species.
I urge you to consider these long-term environmental impacts and reject this development.

Dinawan Wind Factory is an extremely destructive, disingenuous plan with a contaminating lifecycle that is not one bit clean, green or sustainable.
Being weather dependent is useless, only ensuring it will never provide reliable, cheap power on demand.
Australians need far superior 24/7 Australian power with a minimal environmental footprint.

Spark Renewables’ Dinawan Industrialised Wind Electricity Generating Works is an ugly, hazardous plan that will NEVER provide reliable, affordable Australian power - which is an essential service for the people of NSW.
Depending on the weather means 200 flaky Turbines are a very silly idea & DON’T WORK most of the time.
This toxic contaminating plan DOES NOT belong on essential, irreplaceable Food growing land at all as irreversible environmental harm will inevitably occur & our children’s Energy Security & Food Security future will be ruined forever.

I object to the project on the grounds of:
- damage to our pristine riverina grassland environment due to the massive amounts of concrete being used;
- destruction of visual amenity to those surrounding the project;
- difficulties associated with wind turbines when using aircraft to control fires;
- lack of priority given to those directly affected by the project (neighbours) for community benefit funding, when compared to the obscene amounts being gifted to council to spend in the towns, where noone has to look at or deal with the turbines and their massive effect on landscape, environment & amenity.

I adamantly object. It Is a huge concern to myself and local residents. Concerns that install huge turbine will defiantly lead the loss of valuable agricultural land, affecting farmer and food production. I am worried that the l use of the area by raptor bird will be hazardous as they will fly straight into the blade and be killed. eg the Wedge-Tail Eagle this birds live in breeding pair are very territorial. When 1 pair are killed another will move into the area and this will happen again and again.

I drive around I see turbines on the land. I wonder whether this will help my parents pay the bill because the electricity is so dear. It seems that it has increased when turbines and solar started to be all over the place. I think it is the reason power is expensive because while the wind doesn’t blow absolutely nothing happens. We should defiantly be look for solution that give us cheap power. Everyone is talking about nuclear.
