Lindfield Learning Village MOD 6 - OOSH

This development will increase traffic from 7am into the school car park - with capacity of 350 potential students requiring the OOSH services. Though we would support the development to support the growth of the school, this would severely impact the peaceful living of those at 1-3 Tubbs View. There is a speed bump that was installed that makes a loud noise every time a car drives over it. The school has kindly closed the boom gate to minimise traffic and noise. However, this development would be detrimental to many residents who have their bedrooms facing the car park and speed bump.

If this development proceeds, please remove or upgrade the speed bump to minimise noise - while look to improve safety for numerous students who cross the car park and crossing to get to school from the apartment buildings. Earlier drivers tend to drive faster and not necessarily keep an eye out for pedestrians. There have been numerous near misses.

Also, if the car park is to be used, there needs to be a clean up of debris and tree bark mound. As the area backs to the council or national park, all efforts should be used to prevent rubbish from the increased foot and car traffic. During hot weather, there is often sightings of venomous snakes, so for the safety students and their families, the adjacent nature scape should be maintained or designed in a way to help minimise any encounters.
