The Sugarvalley Neighbourhood Centre is a non for profit organisation that relies upon generous donations in order to support and fund various activities and items within the Centre.
Over the past three years, Glencore has been a generous contributor to the Sugarvalley Neighbourhood Centre funding our community garden, chicken coup, and mural which all directly benefit the West Wallsend community. Glencore has kindly donated computers and furniture, all items that are gratefully utilised and received by our clients using the centre.
Glencore funds our Community Breakfast Club which is run on weekdays. The Breakfast club allows us to be able to provide breakfasts on a regular basis to people who are suffering from financial hardship and social isolation. The funding has been ongoing for the past three years and has been an important and welcome relief to our clients.
The Sugarvalley Neighbourhood Centre fully has welcomed the assistance provided to us by Glencore. It is with the support of businesses such as Glencore that we are able to offer services, activities and opportunities to our clients that we would otherwise may not have been able to.

Two weeks before Easter is not nearly long enough for nearby residents and bushwalkers to assess this deliberately confusing document. Glencorp have shown themselves incapable and incompetent in their Geological assessments so far concerning potential impacts WITHIN A STATE CONSERVATION AREA. Nothing further should be considered until all previous damage, cracks 15m deep and fall-ins are remediated safely. Proposed longwalls 49 and 50 still come FAR TOO CLOSE to historic stone arch and aboriginal sites, they should be removed from plan. Proposed mining should not proceed and creek bed, Sugarloaf Range Road or Brunkerville fire trail which is only access for fire vehicles for residents living in Leiberts Lane. Five million NSW residents will be wanting to use this beautiful Park long after this greedy Company has scurried back to it's head office in Switzerland.
