ADW Johnson assist the Darkinjung Local Aboriginal Land Council (LALC) in land related matters across the Central Coast.

In reviewing the Department's website, we note that Wyong Council seeks to modify the above Part 3A proposal, by the inclusion of terms to allow for staging of the development.

In your consideration of the above proposal we would like to draw your attention to a recent Land Claim lodged by the Darkinjung LALC, pursuant to Section 36 of the Aboriginal Land Rights Act 1983, over Lot 7318 DP1148096, which contains "The Lakes Beach" dune area. A copy of DP1148096 is attached for your assistance.

The Land Claim Reference No .is 35962, and was registered on 1 February 2012.

This Land Claim is something that the Department, and the Department of Primary Industries Crown Lands Division (as owner), will need to take into account with the current assessment of the request to modify.
