Noise from heavy machinery, haulage&processing will effect us residents at all HOURS of the NIGHT.. Dust from the plant increase health problems.. I require a public meeting and we have the right to be heard!!! It would be impossible to sleep at night !!! The infrastructure will not cope as it’s already congested.. please consider our health and SANITY!!!

I object to the project as the increase in pollution, dust, lighting and noise will effect our standard of living, health and wellbeing. 24hr operation will effect our sleep due to the operational noise from the equipment and trucks. Dust will effect our and local residents property, vehicles, animals and overall health. Especially the elderly and babies located in the nearby estates. The lighting emitted from the plant will also cause sleeplessness. I believe a letterbox drop should be completed on all local residents of Boolaroo and Teralba. Working 24hrs will increases their profits, however, thats hardly fair, if its at the detriment of local landholders and residents.

I object to the current proposal submitted by concrush to operate 24 hours a day. This is on the grounds that the noise created by processing machines and heavy equipment, as well as haulage vehicles will be significantly louder during the night. Currently the noise can be heard during business hours and can be quite loud at times. The noise will advesly affect the peace and amenity in our residential dwelling after hours. Concrush is directly opposite within 100m of a high density residential area. The noise will be significantly louder during night time hours, thus affecting all residents within the estate. Concrete dust and particles blow in high westerly winds over our property at time which is a health concern also.

I am a local resident and homeowner of Boolaroo - in the Bunderra Estate and object to this proposed modification.

My property currently experiences negative impacts (noise and dust) due to the operation of the Concrush business, and do not agree with any assessment that states extension of operation periods will not mean larger impacts to the community.

I have recently installed a in-ground swimming pool that requires vacuum cleaning twice a day to remove dust that has settled on the pool floor. We cannot open the external doors of our house for more than half an hour without a fine dust entering and settling on our floor and furniture. Washed clothes hung on our our clothes line gets covered in dust while they dry. Our roof, windows and external walls require commercial cleaning regularly to remain clean. The water entering our water tank from the rooftop and gutters is dust-laden, which enters our toilets and washing machines.

We also noticeably hear the unloading and crushing facilities for the current operational times.

While I support the continuation of recycling activities, I feel this operation is already causing an inappropriate level of impact on the local residents and homeowners - impacts that can be controlled. An extension to operating conditions is only going to worsen those impacts, especially if controls such as noise barriers are planned to be removed from the project.

At the very least, real time weather, dust and noise monitoring and reporting should be a requirement for the continuation of this operation. Such controls are imposed on coal mines to reduce the impact of residents kilometers away - I feel it should also be imposed on businesses causing similar impacts a couple of hundred meters away from a dense residential operation.

I object to the proposal submitted by concrush to operate 24 hours a day. My objection is due to the noise created by the operation of heavy machinery and processing machines. The noise is already significant during business hours and the new proposal would advesly affect our peace and amenity in our residential dwelling after hours. Concrush is directly opposite us, and neighbouring a residential area with no noise abatement strategy in place currently. The noise will be significantly louder during night time hours, thus affecting all residents within the estate. The expansion of Concrush may also affect residence health in the area due to concrete dust and particles blowing in high winds (which already occurs). This will need to be mitigated to prevent a safety hazard for residence.
