May release: Planning Proposal, State DA and API updates
01 June 2021
The ePlanning Program regularly deploys system updates and enhancements to our services on the Planning Portal.
The following is an overview of the enhancements and technical releases for the ePlanning Digital Services for the month of May.
The following updates were deployed on 28 and 29 May 2021 as part of our monthly release schedule.
Online Planning Proposals Service
- Resubmit functionality – Ability to reapply the same Planning Proposal (PP) that was initially created after it has been refused by DPIE
- New notification for adequacy decision – sent to proponent, DPIE and council when the decision is made to proceed on the PP to the next assessment stage
Online State DA Service
- Enhancement have been made to the spatial validation of applications located in the 3 Ports State Environmental Planning Policy (SEPP)
- There is now an increased accuracy of DA routing to the appropriate consent authority, that is, Councils or Minister for Planning and Public Spaces
Spatial Viewer Historical Versioning Enhancement
- The ePlanning Spatial viewer provided the public with all current/in-force planning information (controls) related to their property/lot or LGA Search. This system enhancement augments this functionality by providing the public with the ability to view historical planning information (controls). This release is a technical release only, from an end-user perspective there will be no apparent change on the spatial viewer as a result of this deployment.
- This is a key enabler for the implementation of a Digital EPI. When PDF maps are retired there will be a facility to view historical spatial data sets
APIs – Application Programming Interfaces
- On 29 May, the monthly production of maintenance enhancements were deployed. More information can be found in the site's API and reporting section.
For council and agency users and certifiers, documentation providing more detail on each release has been uploaded to the Knowledge Management section of the ePlanning Digital Services dashboards, for those with access.
