I believe that projects such as Vickery should go ahead. Australia has a
distinct competitive advantage in providing high quality coal to fuel
growing Asian demand. I also believe that projects like this are
important for the economic welfare of the local community

We have dealt with the Whitehaven group's Werris Creek, Gunnedah,
Boggabri and Baan Baa sites for many years and in that time have seen
the financial stimulus the mines have given to those areas.

The region needs the ongoing investment of Whitehaven especially when
we look at the ongoing impact of drought on our region.

We also need the financial stability of such projects and companies
such as Whitehaven.

I support this project as it is good for the local community in providing
full time employment for those living in the area.

I am in full support of this and look forward to the jobs it will create
in the local community.

i support any coal mines without coal we have no power/cars/phones etc.

Totally support this project! This is added investment in a growing
economy. Mining and related industries brought us to Gunnedah and it
has been absolutely brilliant watching it grow. This project will be
an added opportunity for the people of the North West to gain
employment, live locally, and support local business.
