This is my livelihood, the way of life for many in this area. I love my job, it’s been my career for 2 decades. The company brings revenue to the area and supports countless families- directly and indirectly.

Providing local jobs and injecting necessary money back into the community

HVO helps to support the local community and supports thousands of families through direct and indirect employment.

Hunter Valley Operations (HVO) provides a significant number of direct and indirect job opportunities to the Hunter region and surrounding areas. It plays a central role in supporting families by offering stable employment pathways — from apprenticeships and graduate programs for young people beginning their careers, through to long-term roles that sustain workers right through to retirement.

HVO also has a strong track record of community engagement, actively investing in local schools, sporting clubs, charities, and community initiatives. These programs not only strengthen social connections but also provide opportunities for education, training, and youth development.

Hvo has been essential to our growing community.

The hunter needs this to keep the local economy and jobs there . I will be looking for a shift in my employment here currently at another mine . Just trying to give my children the best life I can.

We are trying to reduce emissions to reach our climate target. We DO NOT need more coal mines.

I support the hvo north continuation project as it provides over 1500 job to local families. Hvo provides funding to emergency services, schools, and into the local community. I think the continuation will benefit the local community in a positive manor.
