It appears to me that the amenities referred to in this DA are the same as those referred to in the recent SSDA which was refused by the Regional Planning Panel, hence by the Tweed Shire Council and which is currently being challenged in the Court. I might be able to support this DA if it could be conditioned that the residential care component be built first and be operational before the ILUs are marketed. I doubt very much that can be done as I understand that once commencement takes place there is no time frame for completion. As a resident of 14 years there is a strong possibility that I could then find myself devoid of any type of residential care in the future and would be forced to move elsewhere. I could just be a resident in a Luxury Resort! This is not the reason I moved here nor is it the reason for other early residents decision to live here.
