I have grave concerns to the hazardous / toxic material that is going to be extracted from CML7 leaes.
As perevoius testing of of slimes / chemical ponds from past mill waste mining /over 100 year period.

This material is stated in the proposal as weathered ore, from past mining from the old ore body.
This material has Hexavalent chromium/ arsnic/ cynide in large quanties. There was no analyis of the hazadous material as per (state environmental planning policy NO:33 hazardous and offensive development REG-12)

Goverment department have asayed in previous years and are aware of the toxic nature of these historical ponds/dumps.
Refer to crown solicter re: lead claims / brain damadge of children in Broken Hill. And previous environmnetal concerns from community/goverment departments/heath department/ environmental lead centre.
As to the bio assesability of this toxic / hazardous material

The bio assesable /soluble part of the sample not being tested and is not being documented with only insoluble results being documented.
The leases are 183/184/185 and 186
Ranging 3.8km long and 1.2km this is where the historical mill waste was dumped in ponds, this material is included in the surface mining.
There is no air monitoring for the soluble part of this material.
or the chemcial part.
This material is being extracted at night planning department have been notified by community.
who will take responcibilty when our city is contaminated like it was back in the early 1980s when the same remante salvage order was granted.
This same order has been granted with no environmental assesment for bio assesable componet or notifacation to the community that the sufarce salvage mining / and map and description of the lease is to commence as per the director generals minning lease conditions 2004/CML7 7(73)
