Moolarben mine has had a very positive impact on the community in terms of boosting local employment and I would like to see that continue.

I give my support to the Moolarben Coal Mine stage 1 optimisation Project.Through the support of Moolarben Coal our region has seen economic prosperity which has helped all our local trades/businesses.MCO have helped fianancially with the up keep of our roads and infrastructure.

Moolarben Coal Supports the Ulan, Gulgong, Mudgee and wider communities with employment both directly and indirectly.

All in All Moolarben Coal Operations are a fantastic resource for the district and one that I hope will continue to be for many many years to come.

Moolarben Coal is a significant employer which is vital to the growth of Mudgee and surrounding districts, thay also are very active in supporting local community sports and assets that benefit all the community not just the mining sector.

Moolarben Coal mine has an overall positive impact on the Mudgee region community. Moolarben provide employment to a number of people, support for charities, local businesses and sporting groups.

I herby give my support to the Moolarben Coal Mine Stage 1 Optimisation Project. the reasons for this is as follows.
Moolarben Coal Operations(MCO) actively support the Mudgee and surrounding districts through direct employment of miners or through suppliers and contracters.
All these extra people then in turn support local businesses and services.
MCO also contributes to local communities in the form of grants and fundraising activities.

I support the Moolarben project as it provides employment, supports local business within the community.
Moolarben activiely support community groups within the region.
The mine is proactive with its rehabilitation program and environmental management.

I support Moolarben mine in its latest modification. The extension of the mining limit is logical and permits safer and more ethical recovery of the resource. It is often disappointing to see coal left behind in adjacent areas where mine disturbs, The Moolarben seam of up to 13mtrs yields a significant amount of coal for the surface area that is disturbed. The land to be disturbed in question is of low fertility hill country. I would much prefer to see resources fully exploited in these type of areas in lieu of prematurely looking at mining fertile farmlands.
I have grown up in Mudgee, lived there most of life and worked in the mining industry both locally and overseas since leaving school. I have seen the benefits mining brings to economies and communities, and also seen the other side where communities struggle due to lack of economic activity.
Life in general is all about making the right trade offs, the benefits of good responsible mining to; standards of living, economies and communities far out ways the sacrifices required.
The improved mine plan also replaces a more hazardous layout and recovers coal that would otherwise be sterilised, this is a win / win outcome.
I am fully supportive of the Moolarben application for modification and believe it will be a good outcome for the Moolarben workforce as well as benefiting the vast majority of the local community and NSW.

Moolarben Coal actively supports the economic prosperity of the Mudgee area. I provides employment for the region, it supports community groups via donations . I have personal experience with obtaining donations to support the Mudgee Pony Club.

I fully support the Moolarben Coal Mine Stage 1 optimisation project.
I think Mudgee needs and deserves the continued support of Moolarben coal, the mine employees and the contractors inject a lot of money into the region supporting local business and the community. I also see an extension such as this as having far less effect on the environment if any at all compared to opening a new mine in the Bylong Valley where the country is much better suited to agriculture.

MCO undertakes proactive rehabilitation activities and with sound Environment Managment stategies. The range and extent of Biodiversity Offset Properties offered. MCO finally contributes to local roads and infrastructure. They are a great team of people.

The reasons why I support the project are as follows:

Moolarben Coal Operations supports the local community activities as well as the local businesses. It has brought a great deal of new businesses to town as allowed the growth of this area with its own development. It supports charities and fund raising activities. Mudgee and its region have a lot to gain with the presence of Moolarben Coal Mine.

i fully support the approval of the Moolarben stage 1 optimization, modification 9 as the Moolarben project is a major contributor to the economic and social prosperity of the mid western regional council area and surrounding areas. Moolarben coal has been proactive in addressing all environmental, social and infrastructure issues which arise in areas which experience rapid mining development. Moolarben are very focused on providing employment to local residents and educating and managing their workforce to minimize risks associated with transport to and from work.In summary the benefits in approving this project far outweigh any negative issues which may need to be addressed.

Moolarben Coal is only a good thing for Mudgee as they are comitted to supporting the local community in sports, charities and fund raising activities.

It also creates employment opportunities whether it be employed by Moolarben itself or supported by its needs which assists local contractors and businesses.

Moolarben has already proven that they are willing to listen to the community through rehabilitation on site and addressing noise issues with in depth analysis and testing.

I have now been employed with Moolarben for over 3 years. Previous to this my working history consisted of where I would generally not remain with the one employer for more than a year because I was dissatisfied with their management strategies.

Moolarben is a very positive environment to work in and can see how this reflects on the local community.

As a school counsellor who works in the Mid Western Region I see the benefits of mining spread throughout local schools. Moolarben has assisted many schools and other community groups in need, by the way of donations, partnerships, funding and other excellent initiatives.

I give my support to the expansion of Moolarben so local children and others in need can continue to receive benefits from the mining industry.

Moolarben Coal are a valuable asset to the community. The company employs a large amount of people in the community and its viability is greatly important to the prosperity of our region.

My wife (Mairin) and I give our total support to the Moolarben Coal Mine Stage 1 Optimisation Project.

We operate a small business in and around the MWRC area and have found Moolarben Coal to be a pleasure to do business with. We have found they invest in their people, from new apprentices all the way through to supervisors and managers. This reflects in how we, as a supplier of Portable Toilet hire are treated and how our hire equipment is treated. We have found when working with the environmental team they have the utmost respect for the property owners and the guidelines set out for us all to follow.

We have nothing but praise for the way Moolarben coal conduct themselves with small local business.

As a full time employee I have full understanding of the benefits Moolarben do for the local community. They activally contribute to many charities, sporting organisations, commities & clubs in the local area.
The current mine has done much of the rehab with focus on water management on site.
