Mod 9 - Additional Coal Extraction

I strongly support the Moolarben Coal Mine Stage 1 Optmisation Porject (05_0117 MOD 9). I have been a long time visitor to the Mudgee region due to family, basically since I can remember, I'm now 36 years of age and I bought a house here in 1993 and in the last 2 years have moved my family here. I have been lucky enough to secure a job with Moolarben coal mine and am looking forward to building my career. Since my employment with Moolarben Coal I have been blown away by the professionalism and genuine commitment they take in the local community, they don't just take their legal requirements into consideration they simply just CARE which these days is very rare. They donate money to the community, one that comes to mind is one of the local retirement villages which I believe helps them greatly. Moolarben has a very positive effect on the community and I'm very proud not only to be an employee but to have a great asset based here in the Mudgee region.

We have been supplying Moolarben Coal Operations with Hydraulic engineering services for a number of years and have had first hand knowledge of their commitment to the local Ulan /Mudgee community in the form of local employment and economic prosperity. This support also extends to the local suppliers and contractors with businesses in the area of which we are one and at the moment opening a local service workshop in the area to support this company with its operations through employing local labour and services . Moolarben Coal Operations also actively support the local community groups, charities and fund raising activities along with sound environmental management strategies. This company also contributes financially to local infrastructure including roads etc. Having worked with and supported Moolarben Coal operations with our services we have found them to be a great organisation to work with both as responsible corporate company with caring employees and commitment to supporting local businesses and services.

Moolarben coal Operations has a very positive influence on the local community through direct and indirect employment of personnel and contractors. Support of local community projects and infrastructure and a strong environmental commitment.

I would like to put my ongoing support behind moolarben coals optimisation project following their support of Cancruise this is a once a year event to raise money for local cancer patients. when ask to be a major sponsor. They were more than co-operative and their has been no problems .The money is going back to the community and into health support of locals with cancer. I would like to see them around for along time. helping the community and local hospitals

I feel that this will greatly help the business community of mudgee with the continual employment of local labour.

I support this application for modification to the Moolarben mining plan. As well a being an employee of the mine I am also a local resident. This particular mine has proved to be a great benefit to this local region and has operated as a good corporate citizen.

The Moolarben Coal Mine Stage 1 Optimisation Project provides economic support to the Mudgee and Ulan areas, though both direct employment and use of contractors such as Reliable Conveyor Belt. We have a Mudgee branch of our organisation and the approval of the Moolarben Coal Mine Stage 1 Optimisation Project will provide opportunities for our local employees and our company.

Moolarben Coal Operations provides jobs for the locals.

Moolarben Coal is a great employer of local people which supports the local community and business.
They are a very community minded and environment consious company whose growth will benefit the local area immensely.

I am a bulldozer and production excavator operator at Moolarben Coal.

My wife and I have 500 acres of grazing land for the purpose of fattening beef cattle. Therefore, I have an interest in how the land is returned.

I completely support the M.C.O. Optimisation Project because I am involved firsthand in the blending of vegetation mulch and stripping of topsoil.

I am also closely involved in the rehabilitation of the land which I believe M.C.O. is to be commended on. The procedure of land rehabilitation including design, reconstruction of waterways, water storage, spreading of mulch/topsoil blend to final seeding of grass covers and trees is excellent.

In addition, M.C.O. is generous to various charities and organisations throughout the Mid Western Regional Council.

I am in favour of the Moolarben Stage 1 Optimisation Project.

Moolarben will Continue to grow the community as its expansion will provide more jobs for the community and bring more people into the town.

In tough economic times, like Australia is facing now it is good to see a company that is willing to expand. This modification will increase employment with in the Mudgee region as well as give greater security to the people currently employed at Moolarben. It is a good thing for our region.

The reason i give my support to this project is that the mining industry brings so much support to the community whether it be through economic growth from all the local purchases or sport and charity fundraisers, moolarben coal operations also has a great focus on the environment through rehabiltation and sound suppression management programs, moolarben coal also support the MWRC with roads and infrastructure

Moolarben Coal Yancoal are very community minded I appreciate and support what they do for the community and the environment......

With the lack of new manufacturing busnisses and other major factories closing down it seems Mining is one of the few busnisses that can expand projects and allow for families to survive with the income provided by large mining companies.
It would be a shame not to allow a place like Moolarben to expand as it is one of the best mines I have worked at and Yancoal has made some major chnages to machinery to allow for an environmentally and comunity friendly mine site.

Moolarben Coal actively supports the Mid-Western Region through direct and indirect employment, as well as the sponsorship of various community groups. The activities at Moolarben are environmentally sound, and the long term prosperity of the region is influenced by the company's on going success.
