As a resident of the Liverpool area I am writing to you to voice, in the strongest possible terms, my and my Family's opposition to the Intermodal being built at Moorebank.
The negative impact to my Family of this development is larger than any other development in the vicinity by orders of magnitude.
I therefore strongly support Liverpool Council's position and recommendation for the terminal to be built at Badgery's Creek.
Should you have any questions or queries about my position please do not hesitate to contact me.
Regards
Dejan Janjic

in my area .
As live on the edge of the M5 I can contest to the pollution we already have in suburbs.
The pollution which will occur if this project is pushed through will be divistating, creating more dust, diesel pollution and unnecessary noise from semi trailers.
Noise pollution from the M5 is bad enough.

Local roads are already very heavy congested, and local residents already suffer from nose polution (heavy trucks, Bankstown Airport).
It will make perfect sense to develop the project in Badgerys Creek, as the necessary infrastructure wil be built with the new airport.
Please consider well being of the local residents.

I am also appalled at the thought of more congestion in the area.
Please take the intermodal elsewhere - Badgerys Creek perhaps.

Liverpool council have grand plans to make Western Sydney a fantastic and beautiful place to live and work. They realise this intermodal is needed and are not saying "Not In My Backyard" but it could be better positioned in that part of OUR yard.
In most statements from SIMTA and Moorebank Intermodal there is reference to a reduction of traffic congestion being achieved which I find insulting, the truth is that it will be reduced at one end of Sydney and moved to another. The idea of moving it to an area that is currently as well being transformed into highly populated residential area is absurd. Liverpool council along with everyone who has an interest in this part of Sydney would like to be able to position the intermodal in a greenfield site and then development around that with proper zoning and approvals.
I also read that the Moorebank site is preferred as the rail infrastructure is already available but then in the same article quoting someone senior at Moorebank Intermodal that the government will fund the connection to the Southern Sydney Frieght Line. Well this could also be done from Badgerys Creek. If the benifit is really $9 billion to the economy to have this development it would negligent by the government not to invest in infrastructure to get this moved to Badgerys.

Its a chain reaction, putting more pressure on hospitals, traffic and environment.
Please re-consider and re-locate while there is still some time.

The increased traffic movements, noise pollution and air pollution plus 24/7 train movements will be detrimental to the health and well being of Moorebank residents.
The Intermodal should be placed in a commercial area such as Badgery's creek or Eastern Creek.
