Dear Rebecca,
Council raises no objection to the proposed modification that would provide for some flexibility in the staging of the event.
I note however, the you indicated that you were considering allowing the Applicant greater flexibility, in that the event date could be on any weekend in March. Council would prefer that the period over when the event could be staged be limited to the dates nominated by the Applicant as it allows Council to ensure that it can better plan its community events in March so that no conflict arises. The limited period also provides more certainty for the community and allows residents to make arrangements based on an event period that is well defined.
Regards,
Kerry Kyriacou

Dear Rebecca
I make the following submission regarding the modification request for SSD6134, Music Festival at Randwick Racecourse, described on the planning website as:
modification of development description change the rigid scheduling from "two day music festival for the second weekend of March every year..." to "two day music festival for about the beginning of March every year..."
with no other documentation available.
I have no objection to this modification, but suggest, to save time in future and to account for the varying dates of Easter across the 10 year approval period and possible scheduling over holiday dates, that the wording be such to allow the Music Festival "for two days in March or April each year".
regards
