I support the project because I work for HVO I rely on HVO for my job & my family to be able to provide for my family to pay my bills & mortgage the mines are a very important part of the community & thousands of people work for the mine & rely on them so I hope the continuation for HVO is approved.

I grew up in the Upper Hunter as part of a mining family. I saw the benefits of mining in supporting the local community in which i grew up through the utilization of other support businesses, direct donations and the creation of jobs.

I have worked in the mining industry for the last 13 years, with the last 5 of these years at HVO. My husband and i live in the local community and our children attend school, participate in sport and extra curricular activities and we all attend community events. All of these things are supported by mining. HVO as the largest single operation in the area provides a huge amount of support to the local community through local spending, donations and employment. With a long mine life, HVO can continue to provide this support to the local area and provide long term , stable employment for a large number of people directly or through contractors and suppliers.

Without the support of mining and in particular HVO, services, funding and opportunity greatly diminishes within the Singleton LGA and neighboring communities.

The continuation of hvo North would be a great outcome for the region and my family provided a solid job future for us

The continuation of this project is vital. I myself have 3 young children under the age of 6 and my employment will provide my family with food, clothing, education etc for years to come. Hunter Valley Operations has the local communities best interest at heart and provides security and surety to its workforce. This continuation is essential to thousands of people. I encourage those in charge of the approval process to think of our young children and the local communities when making their decision. Thank you

The continuing of this project will provide my family with security for the next coming years. We are a part of the local community. We use our income to support local businesses and schools.

Allowing HVO to grow and expand keeps a lot of locals in a job and enables more jobs for others

my family and I will be negatively impacted financially and emotionally should this pit not be allowed to proceed past it's current 2025 approval.
It is my understanding that the current application will not exceed the pit's approved boundaries, so the positive contributions to the local, state and national economies far out ways any claimed negative comments raised by a few protestors.
I have worked for this site for over 5 years and believe that the Pit operators work within the environmental boundaries imposed on themon them.

Hey guys,

I am fully supporting this project due to the fact I have been in the mining industry for over 10 years and have seen how mining in small communities like the hunter valley let the towns thrive with work not only in the mines but also the flow in effect to other small Australian companies. The closure of this mine will make my family and myself have to move away to find another job which in this day and age is not ideal. The economy needs these mines to be able to keep growing. The hunter valley would it be able to recover if this project didn’t get approved and so many people would be out of work.

Hi guys. I have moved my family to the hunter valley for a career in mining and what the local area has to offer. Without Hvo our chosen Lifestyle would finish. I can not imagine my life with this work. My entire family depends on my work. Our community depends on Hvo and the jobs it provides. I believe our countries economy depends on mining and to think that we could lose a big chunky of it scares me and my family.

The continuation of this project will strongly support my local community , my family and ensure a future for my kids.
