I am a junior engineer working for HVO and offer my full support for both the north and south continuation projects at HVO.

HVO has been my first employer within, not only the resources industry but also as a professional engineer. HVO has not only supported me financially through my studies of engineering at the University of Sydney, but also provided an entry point into the engineering profession that has since turned into a permanent position, whilst still at university - a very rare commitment that employers are willing to make to younger employees still progressing through their education. This has not only enhanced my education but provided me with a true sense of security. I have been mentored by leading engineers at all levels and this has deeply supported my progression through university education.

I have never felt unsafe at HVO, nor have I ever witnessed any level of business irresponsibility. HVO offers secure, safe, well-payed employment to thousands of permanent and temporary workers from the Hunter Valley and beyond.

Glencore is one of the world's best miners in terms of their commitment to community, the environment and their workers. I will feel more comfortable knowing that the coal the world will be using as we transition to a net zero future has been mined by a world leading company such as Glencore, that is committed to ethical practices at all levels of their business. This is to the converse of companies, as we have seen in recent history who purchase assets in countries with less regulations that are complacent with low safety standards, labor exploitation and environmental disregard.

I need my job to support my family in the future

Boost local community and supporting local families

I work at HVO and have for the past 12years .

My family is based in the Upper Hunter and we have two children attending local schools.

This project is my families future, it gives us stability and allows us to keep calling the Upper Hunter our home.

The future of HVO supplies jobs for our local families and future workforce and local economy.
The financial opportunities in our region for many outlays the environmental impact. The rehabilitation plans in place is another reason why I am in full support of our future in local mining in our region.

I strongly support the hvo continuation project as it provides not only me and my family but many singleton and surrounding towns with employment and support for local businesses.

Hvo is a large employer in the mine as well as supporting massive outside industry they have always given great support to local communities thru donations and sponsorship without this mine the economy in the past yrs for local and nsw as well wouldn’t have faired as well thru the economic down turns world wide as well as keeping its workforce going thru covid period.hvo are always looking at the environment and ways to protect it from mining I believe this mine has a bright future and would like it to be able to support family n friends ti enter into the mining world

The expansion of HVO will see continued support of local communities

The mine has provided employment and my lifestyle for over 40 years. The mine is a positive contributor to both the local area and state areas. The mine’s employees are environmentally conscious. The mine has many millions of tons of coal that can be mined without disturbing virgin ground. I fully support this application.

I support the project,HVO is more than a work place it provides comfort too me that I can keep my house in Cessnock look after my partner, I don't want to have too work away from home and risk potential separation with my partner and just not being able to be with her everyday, HVO gives me the comfort that I won't have to do that and still be able to live in the Hunter Valley. I support the project also because their are community's that depend on this mine site certain towns will be nothing without these projects. Their are heaps of company's that sub contract too the mine either on site or based in work shops around the Hunter and there will be alot of unemployment in the Hunter causing family separations, suicide, family hardships and a decline on Hunter Valley as a whole.
