I oppose this project.

For one, as a Port Stephens resident, I think this is a very inner city project and basketball players in my area have to travel in to access it. I am opposed for a number of reasons.

The flooding concerns are the biggest concern for me. The nearby residents already experience flooding and this project could and very likely will increase that risk.

Lambton High will suffer greatly if this goes through. the School could suffer with more flooding and the surrounding streets will suffer too.

The parking and traffic issues have not been addressed adequately in the EIS responses. Parking has been removed by Basketball in their latest version. Making it much worse for local residents. Likewise, traffic concerns have not been addressed at all. The single entry/exit point will create traffic issues for Turton Road.

The current plans do not appear to have a second exit point for the stadium. Is this safe?

I work in a community role where I frequently talk to community members. Since this has started two years ago, stressed and distressed Lambton and New Lambton residents have been calling more about their fears for this area and what the stadium could do to their homes and streets.

I continue to oppose this project.

I am opposed to this development.

I do not beleive that the loss of 2 ovals impacting soccer and cricket is worth the gain of a new stadium that should be built elsewhere.

Major flooding concerns in that area that will only be made worse by removing flood draining fields and replacing with a giant concrete structure. The flooding will likely impact properties on Monash rd, Hobart Rd and all streets in between much worse than it already is. January and May flood events were already very bad in this site. I don't think basketball have adequeatley addressed flooding impacts in their response to submission.

Lambton High use these ovals and will be massively impacted by their loss. they are the school's evacuation space, use for PE Lessons, play space and they used to use them for carnivals. Their loss will mean more concrete and no grass for students.

Parking and traffic concerns will be huge if this proceeds. I do not believe that Basketball addressed these issues in their response to submissions.

For all the above reasons, I oppose this proposal.
