We encourage you to plant species that have low water use for that area and/or are indigenous to that area. For a list of recommended species, please refer to Which Plant Where and/or contact your local council, who may maintain a list of recommended species for that local area.
You should also consider the suitability of species selected for your site in terms of soil type, exposure, shade, mature plant height, and on-going maintenance issues such as the potential impact on sewerage services.
