Mod 2 - Mine Extension

There is many benefits that come from this proposal being passed.

-Employment
-Money back into the smaller community's
-The possibility of low power costs
-Money benefits for Cullen Bullen
-Money benefits for local and state Governments
-Keeping employment locally compared to employment disappearing to other states or countries.

My family and I wish to support Coalpacs application to open cut mine. The mine closing has effected our family drastically I'm now living and working away from home making time with my family hard to come by. If this move doesn't go ahead we will need to relocate.

I support the mine extension in Cullen Bullen that they are requesting.
I may not live in the area anymore. But all of my family and friends do. I have seen the impact first hand on the workers who lost their jobs because of the environmental groups .
Yes our environment is important, but so is people and towns lively hoods.
We should be doing everything to protect our local communities, but this isn't happening.
I hope everyone in these areas support this extension, as the environments will be very minimum compared to the human and town impact if it doesn't.

I support local jobs

My partner and many others were employed by Coalpac in the Cullen Bullen area. Due to the closure and withdrawal of support from the government for mining in a long standing mining region, we will be moving away from the area to live and work elsewhere. Cullen Valley mine extension should get approval as it has proved in the past it can manage the risks. I hope you start listening to the majority who want this to go ahead.

All for this, give the working and tax paying citizens the opportunity to further their career and continue to provide for.their family.

Please evaluate the proposal on its merits and ignore the Blue Mountains residents masquerading as Cullen Bullen residents.

The lifeblood of a mining region is at risk of collapse should the protest group's misinformation and propaganda cloud the judgment of the assessment.

I strongly support this modification. The mines in question supply coal to one of the most important power stations in NSW.

Coal-fired power is essential to our modern way of life and provides the basis for cost-competitive industry in our state.

The mine planning for this modification shows consideration of environmental factors has been taken into account, and in fact will be beneficial in terms of creating a free-draining final landform.

These two mining operations will provide valuable employment opportunities for the Lithgow area, which suffers from an unemployment rate some 2% higher than the rest of the state.

There should be more jobs in lithgow people who actually need work want work. It should be more jobs going here because its a country town. I don't like you go for a job and they don't like you because of the place you live or street you live in. I am sick and tired of travelling for my job instead of getting one in my own home town. GET MORE JOB IN LITHGOW.

The community of cullen & surrounding suburbs need these mines to go ahead to bring jobs & money back into these communitys, small business owners are struggling, family's are packing up & moving due to no jobs in the local area, most of the mine workers were in the 40's not easy to find a job at that age when its cheaper to hire young ones these blocks that lost there jobs dont have multiple certificates like the young generation. Personally my partner lost his job at the mine just before christmas not easy at that time of year let alone trying to find a job in the area were there is nothing & having no certificates or trades behind you. Our community is struggling we need these jobs in this area!

I OBJECT TO THE COALPAC PROSPOSAL FOR THE FOLLOWING REASONS-Mining will continue to destroy landscape and scenery of the area.
-HAULAGE of coal between the mines and Mt PIPER.
-Noise
-Dust and Health as mentioned in my husband's submission
-
