I support the application as i support the NSW mining industry and the jobs and economic prosperity that it provides to the State. I have read the EIS and consider that all relevant issues have been considered and addressed.

I urge DP&I and the NSW PAC to approve this Project for benefit of the community of Lithgow and NSW.

The destruction of State Forest by open cut mining to obtain dirty poor quality coal is not justified.

Don't destroy Ben Bullen State Forest vegetation and geological formations for the sake of getting low quality coal by totally destructive open cut methods.
Rehabilitation of the existing mined areas is a joke, with no resemblance to the adjoining native bushland.

I support the Colliery and Cullen Valley Mine projects for several reasons as listed below:
1. Mining is a fundamental industry underpinning this great country we live in and we need mining to help maintain the wonderful lifestyle we enjoy in Australia.
2. I support mining jobs in Lithgow, a town with a proud history of mining and a strong future if the Colliery and Cullen Valley Mine extension projects can proceed.
3. There have already been too many job losses in mining over the past 12 months and these projects should be approved to secure employment for 150+ people that rely on these mines for their income and to support their families.
4. I support the economic benefits that mining brings to the area and the state. These mining projects would be worth around $150 million a year to the local economy.
5. I work in the mining industry and I and my family depend on a strong and growing mining industry. Whilst I live in Queensland, half my work and income comes out of NSW.

I think that it is vitally important to approve these mine extensions as it will allow Australia to maintain low cost electricity for all users especially in this period when manufacturing is under pressure from many areas.

Alternative electricity supplies are high cost and place an unacceptable burden on the country.

this is public land and is not needed as wang power is now not needing coal there is more then enough coal from angus place and springvale for mount piper . this is a very special area and should be looked after for everyone you can never put it back so for a short term of very low grade coal it should be no to open cut mining . having young children their health is of a great concern to us as parents

The Cullen Valley mine extension should be approved to allow time for the site to be rehabilitated to the highest standard. It would also allow for much needed employment in the local area.

I support the economic benefits that these mining extensions will bring to both the local area and the state. Without the ability to supply low cost coal to the local power stations, the price of electricity will be increased and passed onto the end consumers. Increased costs of living, coupled with the loss of jobs in the local area will be a double whammy to the local families.

Approval should be given to the Cullen Valley Mine to allow further mining. This would enable the site to be rehabilitated to the highest possible standard and create some much needed local employment opportunities

I support the application for the proposed extension of the Cullen Valley/Invincible Coal Mines as it will provide job opportunities for the region. It will also stop people like myself having to move away from family to obtain further employment within the coal mining industry.

It is essential that this extension go ahead for the production of coal for our local power stations that will hopefully lower everyones electricity bills.

Some people in the Cullen Bullen village who are opposed to the extension, fail to mention that they too worked in the coal mining industries for many many years, albeit underground coalmining. Cullen Bullen has always been a coal mining village and lots of my family members all worked in the mines are Cullen Bullen (all of whom have passed).

This is why I support this extension!!!

There have been already lots of jobs in coal industry have been lost due to very competitive market. Hence, timely approval for extension of mine is very critical to stop further job loses

I support the Coalpac mine extensions. It will create much needed employment in the area and keep electricity prices affordable. A project like this contributes a lot back into the local communities.
