I have the following submissions to this project (set out in the attachments below) and support the SCAPS Group submissions. In particular, I particularly object to the following:

1. Proposed use of local roads as construction truck routes and in particular, the use of Aiken Road which is already congested during peak hours with buses and cars. There is already no off street parking with people driving to Aiken Road to catch the Hills City buses. There are a number of school children crossing this already busy road each morning and afternoon with poor visibility due to packed off street parking. To have large trucks running up and down in addition to this is dangerous to the local community. Further the noise generated by these trucks will cause abnormal disturbance to local residence especially families with young children who are home all day.

2. We have asthma suffers in our household. We are very concerned with the increased pollution coming from the new tunnel and disappointed that the proposal is to have unfiltered ventilation stacks. If this tunnel must be built, the the safety of the local community should be at the forefront. It is critical to have FILTERED ventilation stacks. We do not believe that this has been properly addressed in the EIS report.

I strongly object to this project proceeding in its current form.

Concerned Aiken Road Resident.
