Rix's Creek North - Mod 10 - Minor Optimisation to CHPP

This project will help to keep may jobs for the mining workers and all the local suppliers.There’s proposals will not change the mine foot print or have any impact to the local communities.

I support the proposed project for the continuation of employment opportunities and the believe the changes to the washing plant will have environmental benefits

As a long term employee of the Bloomfield Group, I fully endorse the proposed modification to amend our mining plans, submitted by Rix’s Creek. Our commitment to responsible mining practices and environmental stewardship aligns seamlessly with this proposal. The amendment focuses on enhancing infrastructure within previously approved disturbance areas, without altering our annual production. Rigorous assessments confirm that the changes will have minimal environmental impact. Our company’s track record of adhering to regulations and implementing best practices underscores the proactive approach reflected in this modification. Approving it will not only benefit our operations but also positively impact the local economy and the broader community. I urge the Department of Planning to consider our submission favourably, and look forward to many more years of responsible mining together.

The project will provide improved and more efficient facilities with all of the proposed changes located on currently approved disturbance areas. In addition, the environmental assessments completed have confirmed that the proposed changes will result in minimal environmental impact.

Supporting jobs and business in the Singleton community

I believe the mod 10 upgrade would benefit the community through improved environmental output through the changes. Also a positive for all the workers in the area. It also affects the Bloomfield minesite which relies on coal from Rix's Creek.

This project will allow Rix’s Creek to upgrade its Coal plant facility which is absolutely essential to meet the demands of the coal being extracted from this operation.

I wish to make a submission in support of the Rix's Creek North Modification 10. The changes in the modification involve very little change for the general public yet are very important for the mine's success. For example, the upgrade to the washery will make coal processing more efficient and the tailings dewatering facility is good for the environment, reducing the reliance on tailings dams. The in-pit rock crushing facility will improve the haul roads and reduce operating costs. I am employed at Bloomfield Colliery, the company's other, and much smaller mine. I am lending my support to this modification as the success of Rix's Creek is vital to the whole company's future and the stability of hundreds of jobs at both of their mines.

I fully support the Mod 10 at Rixs Creek North. The implementation of this project will ensure employment and livelihood of many individuals will carry on for years to come.

Rix's Creek Mine, and indeed the whole of the Bloomfield Group, has been part of Hunter Valley Mining for many years.
They provide employment opportunities for people from the Upper to the Lower Hunter and even the Central Coast.
They are committed to the Environment and the wider Community in which they operate.

I strongly support the Rix`s Creek North - Mod 10. As an employee, local resident and community member I see firsthand the effort that Rix`s Creek and The Bloomfield Group put in to support local organizations and community group and feel they are at the forefront in responsible mining, creating a positive attitude towards mining and care genuinely about supporting communities.
The Bloomfield group is a Proudly Australian owned company, I am also proud to work for The Bloomfield and I am grateful for all the opportunities that mining has provided my family and I over the past years and to continue into the future.

The company does not engage in tax avoidance through offshoring or other methods. Additionally, Rix's Creek has a well-documented and tested commitment to positive environmental outcomes.

The Department of Planning should recognize the significant environmental and economic benefits of these operations provide and approve this modification.

I support The Mod 10, it is not a significant change with all improvements being carried out within the existing mine area. There will be minimal environmental impact. There will be no changes to current mining operations or the currently approved disturbance area.
