The continuation will provide and maintain jobs/work for the local community.

This is a good initiative for the economic growth of the area

I’d like the project to continue, I believe mining is a massive contributor to our area and it’s economical growth.

We are a supplier partner to HVO and they are important to our business. The site continuation will allow us to employ further people and strengthen business in the Hunter Valley

My Father worked at HVO for approximately 15 years as an operator until his retirement & now I’m working at HVO as a maintenance fitter contractor, my brother’s Daughter also works at HVO. So I’d like to see HVO continuing into the future.

I wholeheartedly support the continuation of the mine. As an educator in the Singleton area, Hunter Valley Operations mine has provided many community based grants that have supported our school community. Not only does the mine provide jobs for Singleton and the surrounding areas, but the closure of the mine would have a devastating impact on all aspects of the community.

I work in the mining industry and my family work in support industries. We also live in the area. I believe there is still a need/market for coal going forward. The world is not yet in a position where we can stop mining coal sustainably.
• This not a new mine. They have been mining here for 70 years.

I believe it would be irresponsible of the Government to not approve bearing in mind the impact that would have on the nearby communities, surrounding industries and the need still for coal.

This project provides security for jobs and is good for the Hunter Valley
