I strongly Object to these Modifications.

By completely changing and old and out of design Simta are weaselling their way around the current restrictions and conditions, so as to avoid meeting any of these stiffer guidelines.

1.6mil cubic metres of dirt and a crushing plant is not a "modification" if it is 3 times the size of the original consent.

It is instead a new project altogether, and that is how it should be treated. A new application for the extension of Early Works should be made separately, after adequate studies and metrics have been met.

This current application is arrogant and openly mocks the PAC, the DP&E and most of all, if mocks the South West of Sydney, the nursery of Sydney's Future.

This modification should be knocked back on both Merit and Principle.

I am most concerned about the underhand and sneaky way SIMTA are going about gaining approval for this 'added extra' for the proposed Intermodal Terminal. This area has quite enough pollution and heavy traffic without the extra proposed, initially for the Intermodal and now they wish to dump more pollution, both noise and airborne, on the residents of this area. We are all mostly high middle income workers in this area - the very backbone of our society. Why then, does SIMTA with both governments approval (State and Federal) wish to move into this area. Would the CEO's and government heads wish this to happen where they live - NO. There would be such an outcry should such a development be proposed in their area. WELL - LEAVE US ALONE and go find an area which will not be impacted upon like our area will.

Our family live, work & go to school in the local area. With the traffic congestion already present, especially during and after severe weather periods, and with all the potential pollutants, we totally object the Moorebank Intermodal.
Moorebank and surrounds is an area along the Georges river with many young and mature families that need good quality air, infrastructure, safe roads with not too many big trucks.
We will not support any government that chooses to approve the intermodal

I object this outrageous modification to the intermodal. Firstly there is only condiotional approval for the project itself and factors need to be proven before work can start. There is not enough information regarding what materials they will be using, where exactly they plan to crush. No information or study regarding the noise impact nor the traffic impact to the area. This has potential to give my family and me hardship in our own home as well as the hardship for our neighbours and hardship for the local community.
wrong place to place to put it in the first place. Please have some common sense!

We live right on the border where the intermodal will be built. We bought this home 20 years ago so we can live in peace and quiet. How dare our governments give approval to this project against the residents objections. These people are put in power for the PEOPLE by the PEOPLE

I strongly object to the Moorebank Container Terminal Modifications as they will impact severely on the health and quality of life of the residents living around the site. This is a heavily populated area - a container of terminal of any size does not belong here. It is inconceivable that this site is still considered as a viable option.

The increased traffic due to the proposed truck movements needed to bring 1.6 Million m3 of dirt and the proposed extension of operating hours will make this already congested area a nightmare to navigate and live in.
The road infrastructure around the site is simply not able to support such requested modifications

how can anyone think this will help but the businesses investing in this situation. Use your heads and hearts and see clearly the negative impact this will have. It's not hard, pollution, noise, traffic and environmental impact. So many risks and for what? $$$. So silly

this is a residential area, surrounded by already over stretched roads. We don't need the noise, light and air pollution in our area.

I write to strongly oppose the development and building of the containment facility in Moorebank.

Moorebank and the surrounding suburb of Wattle Grove aren't the sparsly populated areas they were many years ago when this site was first earmarked for development.

They are well established communities with many schools and daycare facilities, all which will be at risk from the increased traffic, noise and most importantly pollution that this development will cause

The 1490 truck movements per day is going to put enormous pressure on major and therefore local roads,. 13hrs per day is excessive. Other state significant projects/developments are only allowed to work Monday to Friday 7 till 5 and Saturdays 7 till 1pm. So WHY are these NSW guidelines being ignored. It is not in the public or community interest.?
Where are the air pollution measures to be installed? Live monitoring must be installed so that the public can monitor live results, which must be operated by an independent third party, paid by the government and not the developers. Excessive readings should be punnisable by closure of site for minimum 48hrs to rectify breeches in air or noise pollution/qualities

I am writing to register my strong objection to the Intermodal at Moorebank. It is highly unethical to allow thousands of young families to build their homes in this quiet, leafy residential area, only to turn it into an Intermodal.

I am totally against the project.
living next the M5 since it's conception, I've come to realise what the term NOISE means.
Any reduction in traffic (exhaust brakes used on trucks) would be most welcome

I am against the Intermodal and any further extension. There is already too much pollution in Liverpool and surrounding areas and it will be an increased health risk to all residents.

The traffic is more than the roads can handle without more vehicles adding to the situation and pollution.

This modification is one they hope to implement by stealth and is completely unacceptable

The freight terminal should not go ahead, due to excessive traffic on our roads and health hazards for those living at Wattle Grove.
Noise is another factor and non of this has been properly regulated.
I am totally opposed to the whole project, it should be at Badgerys Creek near the proposed airport
