I support the Project as my son lives in Pyramul and the wind farm has
brought employment to him. I also think Aarons Pass Road is extremely
dangerous and needs upgrading.

I object to this modification because CWP Renewables cannot be trusted.
They have breached at least two of the consent conditions imposed by
the Planning Assessment Commission. Firstly, they have blatantly
ignored the clearance limits for Aarons Pass Rd and secondly, they
have not and obviously had no intention of, completing the upgrades to
Aarons Pass Rd before they commenced construction of the wind farm.
Nowhere in the supporting documents for this modification are these
two major transgressions recognised. No admission of guilt. No
remorse. To see the damage done in the first 3 kms before they were
stopped strongly dictates that they cannot be given a blanket
clearance limit of an additional 5.03 hectares, especially as nowhere
in the document is this additional area nominated or justified.
Until a methodology can be defined that provides certainty and is
acceptable to all stakeholders, you cannot approve this part of the
modification.

I object to this modification on the grounds that CWP has already gone
beyond the approved that they were granted in the area of environment
concern, this is CWP second non compliance they have had complete
disregard for the consent conditions and con not be trusted

I object to this modification because it is of no benefit to
environment to do such drastic clearing of trees when it is only going
to be used once to get the trubine blades down this road. Up grading
for local use is completely different to trying to get these massive
blades down Aarons Pass Road.

I object to this modification on the grounds that CWP tried to
illegal clear Koala habit and didn't follow the rules that they were
given

I have personally visited the Arons Pass to see the unlawful destruction
of some 3,000 trees and would like to please be supplied evidence of
the fine / fines handed to the developer of the Crudine Ridge Wind
Farm for such. In Sydney where I live the unlawful removal of a single
tree can result in a fine of more than $10,000.00. Moreover I have
also personally researched the efficiency of wind farm energy and have
learnt to my surprise, after all the positive press, that they are in
fact not efficient, not sustainable and not suited to our country.
Please, I ask you - do your own independent research on wind
technology and also go and see first hand what is happening and put a
stop to this lunacy. Truthfully, Murray

Giving the locals a job in theirs backyard really. It's clean not dirty
coal not digging the ground up just putting down roads in the farmers
can use later and the wind turbines give the stock shade in the hot
summers.

I OBJECT to the Crudine Ridge Wind Farm Modification 1
There has NOT been any honesty or transparency by CWP Renewables with
this project.
There has been a blatant and complete disregard to the consent
conditions for which they were given.
They would have most certainly bulldozed everything to the ground on
Aarons Pass road, if it wasn't for the intervention of locals and them
contacting NSW compliance. I can read the consent conditions and I
don't do this for a living. CWP are meant to be experts. It is obvious
that CWP renewables were trying to get all vegetation cleared and turn
around and say sorry and pay the fine. Dishonest
The DPE are very reluctant to give this company a non-compliance on
this clearance at the start of Aarons Pass Road and that brings into
question the DPEs impartiality.

Media releases done by CWP renewables have been false with locals
having documentation from the DPE that directly contradicts what CWP
Renewables have stated publicity.
On the 11/12/18 Mr McAvoy CWP Renewables project manager said that he
could start work on Aarons Pass road the very next day, BUT I had a
letter from Mr Marcus Ray, Assistant Secretary of the DPE stating that
CWP had to supply a detailed plan prior to recommencing work. We spoke
to Mike Young DPE on the 12/12/18 who stated that CWP Renewables had
not put any such documentation in to the DPE. Dishonest
The underhanded public statement that CWP renewables where dropping
Turbine Numbers from 77 to 37 was a direct attempt to try and
"hoodwink" the public and make themselves look more favourable in the
publics eyes. They were allowed only to build 37 that's it. Again
dishonest.
Stating that there would be a reduction in clearance by 31 hectares
because of the fictional reduction of 77 to 37 turbines....
Dishonest... the fact is there will be an increase of 325% in
vegetation clearance along Aarons Pass Road ... TSC and EPBC fauna and
Flora Species . CWP Renewables didn't mention these facts...dishonest.
CWP Renewables is a Wind Farm Company, this is not their first wind
Farm and they want us to believe that the made a mistake on clearance
required on Aarons Pass road!!!
There was NO Mistake they underestimated to get their approval, their
foot in the door and then they had every intention of doing whatever
they wanted and that is shown in their wholesale clearance of the
first 3 kms on the Aarons Pass Road( off the Castlereagh Highway)
their starting major work which got them their Second Non-compliance.
By all means upgrade this road for local use, but it is a whole
different thing clearing to get a 75m truck down this road.
The NSW DPE must reject this modification or be complicit in the
dishonesty that surrounds this project.

I object to the Crudine Ridge Modification because it gives the
impression that CWP Renewables is reducing the number of wind
turbines, and consequently environmental impact. CWP Renewables only
has legal authority, via the Federal Department of Environment (April
2017), to build 37 wind turbines.
Instead of claiming reduced environmental impact CWP Renewables should
be transparent and outline the increased environmental impact on site
and the transport route Aarons Pass Rd for IPC consideration as a
result of its commercial decision to install more powerful wind
turbines with longer blades. It should lodge a formal modification for
the increase in turbine power and blade length.
The community of Crudine Ridge deserves to know exactly how many
carbon sequestering and habitat providing trees will be removed for
the transportation of wind turbine components.

Objection to the Crudine ridge wind farm. I have not been contacted at
all about the proposed wind farm. I have concerns about it impacring
on mine and my childrens health. The noise will disturb our home as i
can hear the construction while i am inside my home i can hear people
talking and trucks moving around. I also worry about the population of
Koalas that lived there how many trees were removed further destroying
their habitat. I would also question the integrity of the groubd up
there as it is prone to land slips, im not sure it will support the
weight of the turbines. The shadow the turbines will cast on my home
is also a worry. I am very upset avout the lack of communication i
should not have to chase to find things like this or to get more
informatiom it makes the whole thing very underhanded.

I strongly object to this misleading modification application. The DPE
and the Proponents work together and the dishonesty and discrimination
is appalling. Each Industrial Wind Turbine project raises so many
objections, destroying the life style of impacted neighbours and local
small communities .The projects are thrust on to non associated
landowners who are left completely unsupported. The OPEN ENDED
APPROVALS, TRAUMATIZING NON ASSOCIATED NEIGHBOURS and DEFACING OUR
RURAL LANDSCAPE --HAS TO STOP, The landscape will never recover. Thank
you.

I have driven along the Aaron's Pass Road many times and always find it
to be a dangerous section of road - It's windy, narrow and parts are
very corrugated.
A revised road design is very much needed to improve the safety of
drivers.

The noise generated by the construction alone is disruptive to my dad
particularly outside but can be heard from inside the house. We hear
trucks and people talking. I am worried avout the impact the turbines
could have on the rich array of native birds here, how many will they
kill? Also we have a lot of Koalas their homes will be impacted by the
turbines. Since moving here 12 months ago no one has contacted me
about the wind farm. We have had no mail on the subject all of our
information has come from asking neighbours. I have serious concerns
about the impact the wind farm could have on our health and the
disturbance to the peace. They will also be a terrible eye sore and it
will be for years as trees to screen them will not grow overnight.

I can hear construction noises cearly from my home. I have also been told
they can contribute to causing heart disease. I already have a bad
heart this could make it worse. I worry about the impact the wind farm
will have on the health and wellbeing of my livestock and native
animals. The restrictions put in place on my land mean mu children
cannot build and come to run the farm when im not able. Land prices
will plummet so i will be left with nothing to live from if i try to
sell. Trees will take years to grow to try and screen the eyesore
light flickering and noise. I am also upset that i needed to find this
information from neighbours as it was not provided to me by the wind
farm.

The negatives are insurmountable for rhose living in the area, the effect
on the environment and people's health is not justified. The majority
of locals are against it but no one listens. There are not enough
quiet relatively undisturbed areas in this country and putting these
monstrosities with neglible benefits here is short sighted and not the
way forward.

I believe the upgrade of the Aarons Pass road would be a great benefit
for the local community. My family and I have been traveling on the
road for a long time and to have the road safer for everyone that uses
it would be a substantial impact.

I support the Crudine Ridge Wind Farm and CWP in this Modification. I
live in the Northern Tablelands and have witnessed first - hand the
positive benefits that renewables projects bring to struggling rural
communities. I have also visited the Sapphire Wind Farm which was
built by CWP and was impressed with the low environmental impact and
the high standard of workmanship.

I have family in the Central West and have driven the Aarons Pass Road
many times. I can say that any upgrade to it is most welcomed. In its
current state it is narrow, dusty and dangerous. When the Crudine Wind
Farm was first approved I was overjoyed that the Aarons Pass Road
would be upgraded. I am disappointed that the upgrades approved in the
Traffic Management Plan have been stalled and CWP have been forced to
prepare this Modification.

The reduction in the number of turbines that could have been built is
disappointing as renewable energy sources are the cheapest form of
energy generation in Australia. However, the upside of this has been
the substantial increase in vegetation retention. This will be managed
forever and will more than cover any minor increase in clearing on
Aarons Pass.

The Project is a major one for the Region and its positive benefits
will leave a lasting legacy.

In closing I hope that the Department focuses purely on assessing the
issues within the Modification and do not view it as an exercise stop
the project.
