I support Ulan coal in hope of future support for the township of Cassilis

The premise of my support is based on the positive economic stimulus to the towns of Mudgee and Gulgong through employment, support industries and community support programs. As a long-term local of Mudgee, I have seen firsthand how much Glencore-Ulan Coal is entrenched in our community. This project directly supports the people of Mudgee and Gulgong. Kind Regards.

I am currently employed at Ulan Coal Mine and support the proposed Mod 8 expansion.
The project will secure ongoing jobs for local workers, strengthen the regional economy, and make the most of existing mine infrastructure.

Coal mining remains a vital industry for our community, providing reliable employment while strengthening local businesses.

I wish to formally express my support for the Ulan West Underground Mine and the significant positive contribution it continues to make to our region. Ulan West plays a vital role in sustaining the local economy by bringing a consistent workforce into the area. A large proportion of these workers reside outside the region, and many bring their families with them during holiday periods. This regular influx of people directly benefits the town, supporting local businesses, community services, and the broader economy.
Local retailers, hospitality venues, accommodation providers, and essential service operators all experience increased activity as a result of Ulan West’s ongoing presence. This increased economic activity is particularly important for small and locally owned businesses that rely heavily on the stability and support provided by the mine’s workforce and visiting families.
