Areas of lawn, garden and, if nominated, areas of indigenous/low water use plant species MUST be indicated on your development application plans.

If nominating indigenous/low water use plant species, a landscape plan listing individual plant species MUST be submitted with the development application.

For garden areas containing large existing trees, a maximum ground area of 4m² per tree, located directly underneath the tree, can be nominated as low water use. This applies to any tree species, provided the existing trunk size of the tree is greater than 30cm diameter, measured at 1 meter above ground level.
