MOD 3 - Pit 8 Extension

These coal mines support my family and the community, both my kids play sports that coal mines sponsor.

It would be very beneficial to the growth and prosperity of the region now and into the future. Environmentally it would leave no impact when the mining is complete as rehabilitation methods these days are vigorously thorough.

Wilpinjong Coal Mine, and others in the area provide massive economic benefit to the Mid-Western Region.
An extension to existing mining operations makes sense to continue to provide NSW with reliable power whilst the energy transition continues.

Mines are the backbone of Australia's economy, a mine is only the size of a small farm yet provides income to our country and employment to 100's of people.

I support the extension of this mining project because it means more local jobs, stronger regional businesses, and continued investment in community infrastructure. The project has already made a positive impact, and extending it will help keep that momentum going—economically and socially. It’s a win for the region.

Would love to see the extensions as it helps the community and secure jobs and helps provide for our family's in every way and future outcomes for our town

I support the proposed modification to the Wilpinjong Mine. The project is vital for our region, providing stable employment, supporting local businesses, and contributing to NSW’s energy needs. The modification reflects responsible planning and continued commitment to environmental and community standards. I encourage its approval to ensure ongoing benefits for our community and economy.

I am making this submission that I support to have this project approved.
I do have a conflicting interest in this project going ahead, as I am currently employed to work at the Peabody Wilpinjong site through a contracting company. I am hopeful to gain full time employment with Peabody directly in due time. My opportunity of employment is a considerable reason as to why I’d like the project to go ahead. I am a single parent with a daughter who relies on my employment for our wellbeing.
As the mine is closer to its end of life than its beginning, I think it makes sense to utilize the mine infrastructure in place to continue mining to maximize the mines placement and yield of coal extracted.

I support this project as this supports my family through my profession. I live in the local area, and my children attend the local schools. My wife works in the local health care industry, and I believe the project is critical to supporting the local Mudgee region as well as the NSW economy.
