I strongly support the project as it creates jobs for the Mudgee community

Wilpinjong Mine provides me with a stable source of employment, alongside a large portion of the regional population. The mine is an incredibly valuable asset to the local economy, helping to ease the pressure on small businesses to drive local spending.

Wilpinjong’s continued operation doesn’t just sustain its own workforce — it sustains businesses like Double R and countless others who rely on the ongoing stability of the mining industry.
This modification simply allows existing operations to continue responsibly, protecting more than 700 local jobs and maintaining significant regional spending. Wilpinjong has always honoured its commitments to community support, cultural heritage protection and rehabilitation, and we have every confidence that will continue.

The project will further sustain growth and local support for main / outer localities and businesses region wide and beyond.

As a community in Mudgee , Wilpinjong has supported our local community by providing a grant to our local Rugby club

I support this project for many reasons;
I work here, my families livelihood depends upon my job security.
Coal is an important commodity for Australia.
It will keep wealth in the small community of mudgee and surrounding areas
Most of all I don't want to have to move to get another job. I have a young family, and uprooting them from the town they're growing up in is not something anybody wishes to have to do.

I am in favour of the wilpinjong extension

I support the extension of the project as a local in the Mudgee region as the mine industry helps support my family

I support the extension for community jobs

I support the project because of the positive community impact this will have on the region, local businesses and all the families employed at Wilpinjong

I support this project as I feel the expansion will endorse more jobs and jump start careers of locals.

I object to this project due to the following factors:
- The village of Wollar and its surrounding residents will be significantly negatively impacted by this project. Their water, air and lifestyle will be impacted by the production emissions and transport of the product of this project.
- The extension of this mine should be refused due to the ongoing impacts of climate change on the village of Wollar and also surrounding locality. The increased threat of fire, flood and adverse weather events, which cost people and governments billions of dollars, will increase due to climate change.
- There are several areas of bushland under threat with this extension. These include wooded areas and grasslands, habitat for a variety of animals and tree species.

I highly support the Wilpinjong Mod 3 Application as it supports the Mudgee and surrounding areas through employment of over 700 employees. It injects a large amount of money into the economy and surrounding areas, and supports workers family’s into the future.
