I strongly support modification for wilpinjong mine

I strongly support the pit 8 extension modification as I have lived in the Mudgee region all my life and know first hand the amount of people and charities Wilpinjong coal mine supports. I am also employed by the mine and love working with such a positive leading force in the Australian coal industry.

I support the extension as myself and my family are employed at the mine and have lived in the area for 15 years and have engrained ourselves in the community and we don’t plan on leaving and would love to continue working at Wilpinjong.

The Wilpinjong mine supports my family and the families and friends in our community. Wilpinjong presents a create opportunity to families and community. As well as the State of NSW with both revenue and electricity, with the clean coal powering 25% of our beautiful state

We supply Wilpinjong with staff to assist the blasting. The work is essential to our business. This supports 8 of our staff on a ongoing basis

I support this as it’s beneficial for the community and the income for meany families

I support the Wilpinjong extent ion as a woman in my fifties work is getting harder to find due to agism . The mine employs many women & helps get them financially secure for their retirement.
With the economy outlook the extension of the mine is vitally important of the local, state & national economy by providing jobs and royalties that provide important income for all.
This extension is vital for me personally as it is where i see I will spend the rest of my working career.

I work at Wilpinjong as an operator ,I have worked at Wilpinjong since 2012 I live locally with my wife and also run a horse breeding and training business my wife and I have a lot invested in the area and a lot of this is all because of my employment with Peabody at Wilpinjong thanks

The flow-on effect from wages, suppliers, and services is significant and helps keep towns like Mudgee and Gulgong thriving.
This extension allows work to continue safely for a few more years, protecting local jobs and investment. Wilpinjong has a solid track record with land rehabilitation and environmental management, as well as genuine support for community programs and regional health services.
Approving this modification makes sense for the community, local business, and the wider region.
