Autoclaved Aerated Concrete

THERMAL COMFORT | DIY Method | Walls

Autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) is a lightweight concrete panel or block used as a wall or floor system. Because it is aerated, it has a higher inherent insulation (R‑value) than some other wall or floor systems.

Depending on the thickness of the system and the climate zone, BASIX may determine that you do not need additional insulation.
