Development Applications and Selected Certificates Summary (for most recently completed month)
The tables below include near real-time data for applications lodged and determined on the NSW Planning Portal throughout New South Wales. They include statistics for the most recently completed month, compared with the previous month, the financial year to date and the most recently available Local Development Performance Monitor data.
The average determination day figure is calculated by dividing the total number of days taken to determine all applications by the total number of determined applications. Determination days are measured as gross days – the total number of days lapsed between the lodgement and the determination of the application. Determination days includes the time taken for applicants to respond to requests for information from consent authorities.
(1) Local Development Performance Monitoring (LDPM). The LDPM does not collect data on application lodgements, only determinations.
(2) Estimated cost of development is for determined applications, based on data provided by applicants. The dollar value is measured in millions ($m) rounded up to one decimal place.
(3) The average determination day figure is calculated by dividing the total number of days taken to determine all applications by the total number of determined applications. Determination days are measured as gross days – the total number of days lapsed between the lodgement and the determination of the application. Determination days includes the time taken for applicants to respond to requests for information from consent authorities.
(4) Average assessment times are measured in days, which are rounded up to whole numbers, but the percentage change between the current month and previous month is displayed to one decimal point. This is calculated from the raw assessment times (unrounded) for those months. As such, there may be a perceived discrepancy when the “total” average assessment time for current and previous month are equal but the percentage change is slightly above or below "0".
NB: "-" cells signify that no applications were determined in that period.
