The Department is committed to encouraging community participation in the assessment of State significant projects. The Department requires the proponents of some State significant projects to establish a Community Consultative Committee for their projects. These committees provide a robust forum for discussion between the proponent and community representatives on key issues and concerns relating to specific State significant projects.
