WOLLONDILLY SHIRE COUNCIL

Wollondilly Shire Council is committed to developing tourism and growing the visitor economy in the Wollondilly local government area by making it easier to celebrate, particularly for destination weddings, overnight stays, events and markets.

The Events & Visitor Economy Planning Proposal proposes a number of shire wide amendments to the Wollondilly Local Environmental Plan 2011 to:
• Give effect to the Western City District Plan,
• Attract investment and grow local jobs,
• Enhance opportunities for people to connect with one another, and
• Minor amendments to update the local environmental plan for new development types.

The proposal includes proposed amendments for land use planning controls relating to events, markets, function centres, eco-tourist facilities, bush fire hazard, artisan food and drink industries.
