Public Re-notification of Voluntary Planning Agreement and Explanatory Note

The VPA provides for the developer to pay a monetary contribution to Council for providing, augmenting or improving open space, community facilities or other public facilities as determined by Council, in exchange for additional development on the site. The VPA was proposed under Development Application (DA) No. 98/2016, involving demolition of existing dwelling houses, retention, refurbishment and part reconstruction of heritage terrace houses for use as commercial floor space, and construction of a mixed-use building comprising 3 levels of commercial floor space and 16 residential levels over basement car parking.
Council at its meeting on 22 November 2016 resolved to enter into the VPA. The DA was approved by Council on 13 February 2018. The land was subsequently sold on. The VPA has now been revised to reflect the DA approval and updated land ownership.
