I strongly object to this project. I live at the Greenwood complex at 125 Banksia St, Botany, and our days and nights are already filled with screeching train breaks at any hour. This occurs most often throughout the evening and early hours of the morning when the trains are travelling at slow speed. It is already unbearable and we cannot sleep with the doors or windows open at night time without being woken up to the horrible sound of screeching train breaks. I know there isn't any of the budget designated to put up sound barriers to stop reduce the noise that is already occurring so I strongly object to this proposal that there needs to be another rail line put in which will make even more noise with trains running in both directions on both tracks day and night.
