I support this development being mixed use (e.g. commercial, residential,
hotel), however I would like to see a higher maximum height of 85
storeys.

The new station must have easy, underground connections to Town Hall and
Museum stations. Commuters can walk through underground tunnels
between platforms making changing lines through this area smooth and
seamless, taking less pressure of Central station.

I haven't identified specific details that I object to in the proposed
above-station developments, but the DoP should recognise that the
entire Metro City-SW project is unnecessary and an appalling waste of
money we can't afford. It should be replaced by this:

As this matter is an SSD related matter outside SCA lands or declared
catchment areas, and not near WaterNSW's infrastructure or land, I am
referring it to DoI/NRAR.

This matter relates to an SSD project for the Pitt Street (North) Over
Station Development (SSD 8875).

This is an excellent project which will have long term benefits for the
city. I have viewed the documentation for both Pitt Street north and
south and my comments apply to both.
*I support Option 1 with concurrent development
*Design excellence brief should include statement buildings which
attract attention - ie quirky
*Emphasis should be on pedestrian amenity with spacious throughways
(like Wynyard), activated street levels, maximised sight lines at
ground level.
*Please maximise green plantings, passive public spaces and public
seating.

An underground connection between the Pitt Street Metro North site and
train station at Townhall should investigated to allow further ease of
access & transfer between services for commuters. In addition it would
take further foot traffic of the main above ground streets and roads,
allowing all-weather access between the two stations, and the
connecting paths under Queen Victoria Building, and The Galleries -
through to Pitt Street Mall Westfield. If a direct connection cannot
be made to Townhall, than one via The Galleries would also be of use
to provide access between major transit & landmarks during wet-weather
events.

Thank you calling and for the extension in the relation to the exhibition
for the Sydney Metro Pitt Street (North) Over Station Development (SSD
8875).

Our flood officer has just checked this development and as for the
Sydney Metro Pitt Street (South) Over Station Development, OEH has no
comments in relation to the Pitt Street (North) Over Station
Development and no further need to be involved in the assessment of
this project.

Please note that the Heritage Division of OEH may provide a separate
response if required.

Fire + Rescue NSW will not at this time be providing comment on the
Sydney Metro Pitt Street North (SSD 8875) & South (SSD 8876) Over
Station Development - Notice of Exhibition as there is currently
insufficient information available regarding the fire safety and
emergency response management aspects of the project.

We request that we be given the opportunity to review and provide
comment once approvals have been granted and the project has
progressed such that there is more relevant detailed information
available.
