Firstly, I am not against this development. The local jobs that will be created is a huge positive.

I have only two concerns that I do not believe Logos have fully considered and not thoroughly investigated in their plans.

1- 24/7 hrs of operations.
The amount of noise that would be generated from trucks, forklifts and other warehouse/distribution centre operations whilst local residents are sleeping ( in some cases about 200 metres away) I don’t believe has been considered. How Logos can possibly decide in their submission that there will only be one truck movement out of hours when they have not even sold the distribution centre is, to me a fraudulent statement.
There needs to be a curfew put in place for operations covering the entire development as it is too close to local residents. As a suggestion 5am to 9pm.

2- transport infrastructure upgrades.
The junction at Gt Western Hwy and Flushcombe Rd has already hit its peak for traffic coming down the hill on Flushcombe Rd. At many times of the day, traffic can be banked up past the roundabout at 7-eleven. I don’t believe Logos have considered this. With the amount of vehicle traffic movements throughout prolonged periods of the days (24/7 currently proposed) the aforementioned junction would not cope.
Added to this, the nearest public transport would be a bus stop just before Woolworths served by the 722 bus. Many more workers would then have to walk to the aforementioned junction and in peak periods this would add another phasing for traffic light changes creating further gridlock. Again, I don’t believe Logos have considered Flushcombe Rd in their planning. It has been more so about the upgrades to the Gt Western Hwy.

I am not a NIMBY. I’m happy to have the development go ahead, BUT, you really must consider local residents when deciding on this megastructure.
Create a curfew AND upgrade traffic infrastructure.
It really should be that simple.
Now….. let’s see how you spin your way out of this with expensive traffic and noise consultants, who at the end of the day, you are employing.
Wish as local residents we could afford that!
We have enough difficulty getting local council, state MPs or Federal MPs to listen to our simple pleas.

We object to the Augusta Street Warehouse and Distribution Centre (SSD-36138263) project on the grounds of the project being detrimental to the enjoyment of our home due to the following issues:
- size/height of the development. Given the height of the proposed development, it will easily tower over existing residences. The size and location of the proposed distribution centre will completely change the landscape of the local area and will detrimentally affect local residents and house prices/resale value.
- operating hours. The proposal states that the distribution centre will be operational 24 hours per day/7 days a week. This level of activity and noise generated from trucks and vehicles using this centre will adversely impact my family as the bedrooms in our home are predominantly at the rear of our residence where our children sleep.
- amount of traffic and delays. The roadworks currently being undertaken to Prospect Highway/Great Western Highway are yet to improve the traffic flow of this area. Adding this 24/7 distribution centre to the local roads will greatly exacerbate traffic flow issues.
- reduction of natural landscape and local wildlife. The removal of the current grass land at the proposed site will greatly affect local animals that frequent the area such as foxes, kangaroos, goats, rabbits and reptile life. Due to the current roadworks, we have already noticed an increase in venomous snakes frequenting our property and nearby residences. We would prefer these reptiles to stay in their current environment and not be forced to seek shelter and food elsewhere!
- increase to temperature. The proposed centre will generate an enormous amount of heat from the rooftops of 5 factories together with 951 cement carparking spaces which will significantly increase the heat levels in surrounding homes.
We look forward to receiving feedback from you to the points mentioned above.
Kind regards
Jason and Rebecca Smith

To whom it may concern,
I strongly object to the Augusta Street Warehouse and Distribution Centre (SSD-36138263).
I am a resident of Hampton Crescent and the impact on my view and amenity will be significant.
I am not opposed to development however I feel that this development will create noise population in the area. Also, this proposal is a poor fit for the area, where there are not any other buildings anywhere near as in the area.

I strongly oppose the proposed development application for the following reasons:
The increased traffic to the local area of Prospect will make it difficult and time consuming to leave or enter the area during peak times. Traffic is already very heavy on Flushcombe road due to the additional set of lights that were placed in for Bunnings on Great Western Hwy. It is already difficult to turn on to Flushcombe road from any of the side streets with the current traffic lights and traffic is usually backed up from the Great Western Hwy back to Lancelot Street just to turn on to the highway.
Prospect Hwy is also heavily congested during peak times and this will be worsened by traffic accessing the proposed site 24/7. I believe that Traffic will be banked down Lancelot street due to the increase in traffic from the proposed development. Traffic to and from Prospect from either the Great Western Hwy or Prospect Hwy will be significantly increased to the detriment of residents in Prospect.
Another concern will be the increased noise levels due to trucks entering and leaving and other vehicles working 24/7 at the proposed development site and using the Great Western highway. Activities held at Eastern Creek Raceway can easily be heard from Prospect as well as trucks and other vehicles using the highway so there will be a lot more noise caused by the use and access to the site 24/7 which will effect the nearby residential areas. The Prospect area will also be effected by increased flight noise due to the flights to and from Badgery’s Creek airport which will also be 24/7. Residents will also be subjected to increased road traffic noise 24/7 due to the proposed development.
I believe the residents of Prospect will be negatively affected due to 24/7 road traffic noise and road traffic congestion that will be caused by the proposed development.

Hi,
Since the previous Warehouse and distribution centre was built in the same area, we have asked and mentioned that it is very bad decision unless the traffic is fixed and I see that is already built and the traffic is coming worse as many trucks coming out from this area (Flushcombe Rd street) to Great Western HWY turning right towards Parramatta they don't give the way for the vehicles coming out from the other side (Flushcombe Rd Blacktown) turning left (mean while it is their right of way)to Great Western HWY towards Parramatta, and this would create many accidents in this intersection (I have witnessed on many occasion so many dangerous maneuvers by the trucks) this was just before the new centre that you are trying to build. I wonder what will happen when the other distribution centre is built and operating.

Please, before you go with this, you need to fix the traffic first and look at our safety, people who reside in this area.
This is beside the value of our house would go lower as Prospect (Flushcombe road) side is known for its quietness, now it is becoming very busy, polluted (sound and air) and dangerous.

Thanks

I am a resident close to the proposed project and am concerned about the impact on my families well-being from a proposed noise and traffic point of view. We live in a two story house which will be more affected than a single story dwelling, with the front of our house, which includes two bedrooms on the second story, facing the project. If there is a substantial increase in noise, both from heavy machinery and backing up devices and the ongoing noise from general warehouse operations, what are the remedial plans to offset this noise should it become a problem in the ongoing operation of this site? Secondly, what is the expected traffic increase along Flushcombe Road both travelling south and north and at what times will the traffic be at its heaviest, will the centre be operating 24 hours a day, if not at what times? Thank you.

I live very close to the proposed project approx 500 mt. My strong objection is to the 24/7 operation, this is totally unacceptable. We, the community have to put up with the eastern creek raceway with noise into the night, In 2026 the Western Sydney Airport opens, Prospect is directly under the flight path 24/7 The last thing the community needs is another 24/7 operation that also has parking for 1000 vehicles. Enough is enough. We will experience substantial devaluation of our properties. The only thing I will accept is no 24/7 operations, you SSD must consider the side of the community not just the company interest,s and the usual school of thought by Government that it creates jobs, and stuff the community.
I contacted our local MP the member for Prospect,Hugh Dermott some 15 months ago so far no action. We, the community must have a community information meeting, this cannot be an option, but a must and urgently. Giving the community 21 days notice of a significant project that has serious ramifications on the community is ridiculous and shows a lack of consideration for the people that will be impacted.
No 24/7 operations, must have community meeting urgently, show some respect for us the people, for this will change our lives.
I look forward to hearing about the public meeting.
