The project does not match the small coastal village of the township. It is high density housing. The modern styling of the buildings is out of place within the town. Whilst the town should have development it should not be of this style or density.
This is a a small coastal town, expensive high density housing will do nothing to provide housing affordability which is easily demonstrated by the cost of the housing in this development.
Whilst this land was originally approved for a resort in the early 90s it should also be recognized that the township has changed a lot since this was approved along with better understanding or environmental impacts. This development is being constructed on sensitive ground and its runoff will effect natural waterways regardless of design.
Unfortunately this development will probably go ahead and become the first high density elitist and exclusive type of building with limited public access. Will create more pressure on local services like Dr's and shoping centres and trades and do little in the way of creating local employment. This development sadly advertises itself using all of the aspects of the town it will destroy both by its style and design.
No dwellings should exceed the 3 story limit which has been the standard for this township. The charm of this town is small coastal living, high density living does not match.
