Western Sydney should not be a dumping ground for the larger Sydney populace. The proposed area is now built up with houses and businesses that will be adversely affected by this proposal, and the residents have not been consulted in an appropriate manner.
Why can't this be built in the eastern suburbs of Sydney?

For the sake of humanity, please don't build this so close to a densely populated area. There are many remote locations this waste facility can be built!

My main concern is the health ramifications for families, particularly those surrounding the incinerator.
I am from Rooty Hill.
This is too close to residential estates.

The incinerator is too close to schools and homes. The impact is much greater than you think. Due to the amount of dumps in the area, the air quality is already reduced, indicated by the asthma attacks my children now have on certain days. The incinerator will reduce quality of life further for any person with breathing difficulties or asthma. Please do not approve this incinerator.

I would like to object to the proposed Energy from Waste facility to be built at Eastern Creek. As our suburb is already surrounded by waste facilities and foul odours I don't think that we deserve to have even more toxic fumes floating around our homes and increasing the chances of our children and grandchildren developing cancer and/or respiratory diseases, no matter how small that chance may be.
Please build this facility further away from residential areas.

I strongly object to this being built in such close proximity to a large residential community.
This poses serious health risks to the people and children in nearby schools and homes.
This poses serious issues regarding traffic congestion.
It makes much better sense to build this in a more remote location where the effects on the local community won't be so disastrous.

This should not go ahead. For the sake and health of our individuals within our community, the building of this waste facility should not go ahead where it is proposed to go ahead. I am strongly against this waste facility being built at Eastern Creek

I object to the proposed Energy & Waste Facility, at Eastern Creak.
It is a health risk to me my family and the community.
It is very close to our homes. There has been no consideration of the future Airport Polution adding to the effects.
This sort of place should be located in less populated areas, ie: past Campbelltown where there is plenty of open land, not populated with many families.

I take strong objection to this project including the description of this project as "thermally treating" waste. Call it what it is, an incinerator.
As for air emissions stacks, it won't be emitting air. What precisely will it be omitting? That depends upon what is fed into it, and with an input as varied as garbage, that could be literally anything.
It is simply impossible to guarantee there won't be toxic emissions.
Do I support green energy? Absolutely. Is this a form of green energy generation? Absolutely not.
This project has only one positive outcome, profit for its operator.
Most of the proposed input to this incinerator should be recycled, but unfortunately there isn't enough money to be made in that.
This proposal bust be rejected.

Rooty Hill already has a steel mill along with a local dump on Wallgrove road which omits offensive smelly gases especially during summer. Given that the area sits in what is like a satellite dish ( you can observe this on any given foggy morning ) as the fog takes forever to lift, as a resident I strongly oppose the building of such a business in our area. It is a proven fact on public record that the rate of respiratory conditions & health issues such as cancer have increased since the establishment of the Steel Mill in Rooty Hill so why would you entertain the notion/idea to put another business that had the potential to further compromise the quality of the air we breath. The constituents need to be properly informed, consulted & listened too before this is a done deal. as residents this will also have the potential to reduce their property resale value. Our taxes deserve clean fresh air too. If this goes ahead this will be a define deal breaker for many residents that already have compromised respiratory issues - I for one would look at relocating for such health reasons despite living here most of my life. Please put people first over potential profit there are many more wonderful businesses that could take up this space let's be a smart society & send this company & their proposal packing.

It's redicoulus to have an incinerator so close to residential area. It's too close to homes and it will release mercury, sioxinnand toxic fumes into the air. I object.

Would you raise a child next to a place like this? I don't think so. on some days we can smell the eastern creek tip and now I top of that an incinerator the releases toxic pollution. The claim that it is providing electricity back to the grid is at a price. There are 100 greener ways to do so.
