I wish to object to the above mentioned SSD. I would also like to state that I have not made any political donations in the past 2 years and I would appreciate if my personal details were withheld.

It upsets me to have to write this objection, but sometimes we need to weigh up the pros and cons, and also be a little selfish in life. I am standing strongly against this Wind Farm for personal reasons, but also because of the environmental impact I believe it will have on this beautiful region.
For years, all I have dreamed about is my parents finally moving full time into their beautiful home that they have been working tirelessly to have. For just as long as that, I have dreamed about the days that I will eventually be able to follow in my parent’s footsteps and move there myself, raising my own family at our family’s property. At 25 years of age, I feel like that dream is about to be crushed. Our property was chosen because it is remote and away from any kind of hustle and bustle. I feel that a Wind Farm would greatly deduct from the serenity I feel when I am there, maybe even pushing me to look elsewhere to settle down.

I would also like to state that I am in no way against Wind Farms altogether, but I feel that this was a poor choice of location for this one. As a young woman, I cannot stand to see such a sensitive environment torn apart around me. As a Veterinary Nurse, I also have to stand up for the animals, who I know, without a doubt, will also be paying for this Wind Farm. I cannot imagine sitting by for years, watching the degradation of this land that I have grown such a strong love for.

I won’t write a long letter to you, I simply hope that these few words are heard, and that people are thinking of the future generations that wish to enjoy this land. We are the ones that are going to have to watch it suffer.

If you ever wish to hear more from me, please contact me.

Thank you

We wish to strongly object to these ugly wind turbines being built in Nundle. They are a blight on the beautiful country side and an environmental disaster.
Please do not permit this ugliness to go ahead!

Please see below my objection to the proposed wind farm at Hanging Rock.

Hanging Rock is not the right location for this project.

I am a sibling of a resident in Hanging Rock on Shearers Road and the area is my home away from home.
I stay here to get away from the city, to enjoy the serenity, peace and quiet that my land brings.
I have many relatives, along with myself, who have dreams to move up here later in life, as we all have fallen deeply in love with our sanctuary.

This future of mine and others will be slashed like a wedge tailed eagle in a turbine blade, along with native fauna including King Parrots, Kookaburra's and Black Cockatoos.
There is a low hanging cloud that settles along this ridgeline on a lot of occasions, be it summer or winter, with visibility low.
Some days visibility is low when driving and I can only imagine what would happen to the native wildlife. These native birds will not stand a chance against the turbines, blinded by the mist with blades slicing through the air.

It is extremely frustrating to see how the noise pollution has been down played. If one turbine engine emits the same level of noise as a lawn mower, I can only imagine what that sound would be like combined with 69 other turbines.

I had been advised that access to property could be denied during the potential construction of the turbines and this is completely unacceptable.

I am also deeply offended that so called experts have been speaking with my relatives and blatantly lying that I have been in contact with these untruthful ‘specialists’. At no point have I, or anyone in my immediate family, been sent any communication or spoken to regarding this atrocious attempt to degrade our wonderful, natural lifestyle.

I have been and always will be against the installation of this so called renewal energy resource.

Kind Regards and God Bless

I object to the wind farm as it is being proposed in an environmentally location. Hanging Rock is a beautiful wilderness area, enjoyed by locals and tourists. It is one of the few places left for us to relax, unwind and destress from the worries in our lives.
We need this pristine environment to remain unchanged for future generations, our children and grandchildren.
There are many other locations which do not share this uniqueness and are more suitable for the wind farm . If this proceeds it will be disastrous for the Nundle community and the tourists who regularly visit here at Go for Gold festival and many other events held here. There are many things money can't buy in our world. Peace, tranquility, beauty, serenity are but a few of these and they are all part of this beautiful part of our world.
I ask that on behalf of myself, my family, children and grandchildren you quietly walk away from this project and go elsewhere.
Let us live in peace and enjoy this piece of paradise. Sometimes when i am there i feel i have touched a piece of heaven. Please leave somewhere for us to recharge ourselves and a place for me to write my poetry and novels.
Thank you for accepting my submission.

I live at XXXX, approximately 15 km along the top of the ridge to the north from the proposed site.

I know all too well about the unique flora and fauna of the area. I often see animals that you would rarely see anywhere else in Australia. This includes the Tiger Quoll and a great many birds the names of which I am not familiar with.

Perhaps of more concern is what would happen to the water supply. On my property I would have at least 20 or 30 springs that have come back at varying degrees following the drought. To say that these springs are fickle would be an understatement. Water flows out of the ground at the top of the great dividing range at will and will stop at the smallest disturbance. For anybody to suggest that springs will not be affected by the construction of wind turbines is totally false.

If I can expand on any areas please contact me on this email address or ring me on XXXX XXX XXX. Alternatively if you would like to look at the vegetation and wild life first hand you are welcome to visit me at XXXX.
