Plus the extra traffic of heavy vehicles etc. it is bad enough with the traffic from the high school and the new development going on in the Mt.Penang area.
As with the water issue we can not afford any miss Happs and polluting the water ways and under ground supplies.
Dust and smells in the wind Carrie all over Kariong and down to Gosford areas.
It should not be Aloud in a built up area, roads that can not take any more trucks etc as it is not coping with what is coming through the area.
Please think of the Community and do not let this go a head.

I support the upgrade for a number of reasons, including the ability to substantially reduce the amount of waste that is currently being tipped into landfill. The materials that this facility will accept are all able to be turned into products which can be re-used by local builders and landscapers. The facility will make these products more accessible and bring prices down through competitive pricing. Many objections to this upgrade are unfounded, including complaints as to the location of the site. The lot is located within the industrial zone with very low residential population in the surrounding area. Being close to the freeway exits, it is ideally located so as to reduce traffic on other less capable roads. Objections relating to environmental issues are also unfounded, as many precautions and offsets are being implemented in the expansion. This facility will in fact have a net positive impact through material re-use and recycling. Given the diligence undertaken to minimise any potential negative impacts, plus the environmental and economic benefits of this expansion, there are very few reasons to object to this development. In fact, any objections should be reviewed and considered very carefully, as there may be a lack of understanding of the project or alternative motivations behind them.
