While I have no objections to the proposal of expanding the quarry, it is the repurcussions to do with the vehicle movements that I object to.
I am a coal miner and am all for expansion and job creation. However, the volume of truck movements per day is a danger to the local community, residents and children of the area. The number of movements per day is not acceptable for the safety and health and well being of the residents of the travel path.
If the qurried material was moved by other means, such as rail, then there would be no objections to the proposal.
The rail line is right near the quarry and would be a viable option for Daracon, road is the easy option for Daracon and I understand why it is being considered.

Living on Paterson Road, I strongly appose the expansion of Martins Creek Quarry.
I purchased my home in 2015 on Paterson Road the traffic noise is increasing all the time it has double in 5 years already. My front windows shake from some trucks now worst at night some not doing the speed limit.
We'll have to put up a high front fence shortly with double glazed windows just to sit in our lounge room if the Martins Creek project goes ahead and at our cost $ why. Yes we live on a main road and it's our choice but the area is / was rural and already expanded.
I feel that no matter what Residents say or do this will be approved and go ahead anyway.
There are numerous bus stops along the road for school children pick ups. There is also no cycle/ foot paths for safe pedestrian movement. I already feel unsafe when walking on the road.
The roads are not designed to take the load and size of the trucks, and the road is already getting busier with public cars, as the area is / has expanded.
Surely they can put in there own service roads and possibly use the railway line.
I am the owner of my property, and feel the value of my property will go down because of the "death trap" the road will become let alone the noise pollution.

We have already experience much more truck traffic than we would like. The trucks thunder along Tocal road, some we have been woken by extremely early in the morning, one morning for example we had several starting 4:30am this was not a nice way to be woken up and I am not keen on this being ongoing thing.
We have recently purchased our property that we love for over 1.1 million. We were not aware of how this truck situation impacts until we moved in. We would NOT want such a proposal to impact our future tranquility of semi rural lifestyle or effect our property price and value.

I object to the Martins Creek Quarry Expansion as it will increase the number of trucks using this road by 280 per day.
This is an unacceptable number of trucks.
We bought here so that we would experience more peace being out of town, I cannot see that 280 trucks a day would be peaceful.
We have invested a lot of money buying this property (over 1.1 mill) and I would not like to see our property value affected, not only for myself and my wife but for our children’s future

The increased truck movements will have a devastating impact on the condition and safety of roads through the town of Paterson which has a high pedestrian activity. These roads were never designed to cope with the volume of truck movements that will be experienced as a result of the expansion of the Martins Creek Quarry.
The vibration and noise from the increased number of trucks trucks will deter tourists from the area which will affect local small business. It will also adversely impact the way of life for residents who live along the proposed routes.

- the terrible deterioration of road condition on an already stressed country road ESPECIALLY Paterson where the road condition is already very poor
- the increase of and danger to pedestrians with the amount of heavy traffic driving through this little historic country town
- the congestion of roads and at the East Maitland lights
- congestions at the Paterson rail crossing
-noise pollution from large vehicles and their brakes

One of the main draw cards to this area when we were looking for a place to settle, was the large areas of natural wilderness. To lose such a large portion of this is devastating. We love seeing kangaroos, foxes, koalas, frogs, native birds, snakes etc right at our doorstep. The impact of this expansion on the local wildlife populations would be awful.
Please, don't approve this expansion.
