Message
We need to move away from coal fired power plant use. The Hunter region
is plagued with cancer and respiratory illness caused by fine airborne
particle pollution caused by coal fired power stations. Ash dams
poison the landscape and dump toxic chemicals into the environment
which are left for future generations to deal with the impacts. To
even consider this project is outrageous. Australia has some of the
oldest and dirtiest power stations in the world. We need reducers to
remove toxic chemicals being released into the atmosphere as first
priority. Secondly, investment into renewable energies for a clean
sustainable future.
