North Byron Parklands is a great venue for local, interstate amd
international talent. Both in music and arts. Personally it has
provided me the platform to present mu clothing brand which i started
from the ground up and now has reach so many people due to the
exposure from this parklands.

Please keep Parklands as the site for Splendour in the Grass and Falls
Festival. These two are now major Iconic Australian events and Byron
should be proud to have them.

I support Byron Parklands as a festival venue. I think it is really
important to support musicians , who have few opportunities to perform
. I think it brings income to the north of the shire and this can only
be helpful . I understand it can be difficult for those in close
proximity but as it is not an everyday event i feel for the good of
all , Parklands needs to approved with monitoring of noise levels

I am in support of the submission for the development of a permanent site
for arts and cultural festivals in the Byron area. These festivals are
important for the ongoing support of Australian and international
artists and the importance of bringing art and cultural events to
people. The pilgrimage to Splendour and Falls festivals in Byron is an
important event for young and old and provides economic benefits to
the local communicaties. Whether you attend the festivals in person
these events are enjoyed across national broadcasts.

As a patron and vendor of events at the site I whole heartedly support
the grounds being committed to supporting arts entertainment and small

well as people from around the country. Regards, Robert

I find that the Parklands site in the Northern Rivers is a great site for
festivals such as Splendour and Falls as well as many smaller cultural
festivals and events. It offers our community unrivalled national and
international publicity, offers many local jobs while also bringing
many tourists to our area, thus boosting our local economy.

Students at Ocean Shores Public School have benefited from the North
Byron Parklands Community Grants Scheme. This year will be the fifth
consecutive year that the school has received $5000 for implementation
of a music education program for our junior classes. The funding has
allowed our school to engage a professional music teacher to come into
the class and teach students, enabling access to a higher level of
music expertise than would normally be able to be provided by a class
teacher. A particular advantage of the grant provided to our school by
Parklands was the security of funding over an extended period. When
the grant was first negotiated, it was for $5000 per year, for five
years. Single year grants are of great benefits for built projects,
however implementing programs, providing equitable access to learning
opportunities for multiple classes over a number of years, requires
ongoing commitments. It is rare for community grants to offer such
security, and I can confirm that the students, parents and teachers at
OSPS are grateful for the opportunities and outcomes provided by the
grant. As the closest school to the North Byron Parlands site, we hope
to be able to take advantage of the Community Grants Scheme again in
the future.

I think that we need a solid home base for the arts in the Byron Shire
and the North Byron Parklands will provide this for the shire, the
economic benefits for all of the shire it's provides jobs for locals
especially the younger generation which is much needed in this part of
Northern NSW. The benefits that flow back to the community from the
management of the Parlands is greatly appreciated and would be will be
sadly missed.I believe very strongly in the North Byron Parklands
Operation and what it provides for the community and it would be a
travesty if it is not looked upon in a favourable manner.

The increase in patrons to 50,000 is totally inappropriate as it puts too
much load on the surrounding small towns. Falls Festival occurs over
the busiest period for Brunswick Heads which is already at bursting
point.

I am keen supporter of the North Byron Parklands developments. I believe
strongly in the positive cultural, financial and social aspects of the
existing developments at the site and have a strong faith in the fact
that the proponents plans for the future will only expand on these,
strengthening their position as leaders in their chosen field.
Further, North Byron Parklands is a diverse, well maintained and
thoroughly supported area of sensitive ecology that the proponents
have already nurtured and built upon and once again I believe them
when they say they have the belief in maintaining that path at the
core of the development. North Byron Parklands will continue to bring
positive benefits to a region that is burdened by under-employment and
social confusion for a raft of it's younger population, not too me ion
that fact that NBP's location allows it to service the entire area
North to South meaning that the benefits are felt not just in the
immediate shire but for many, many kilometres to the North, South and
West. This development is greater than one event and will provide
greater amenity that does not have to have any further impact on the
local towns and villages other than a boost to local business and
enterprise, a source of work for local people and a preserved and
nurtured environmental system that up until NBP's existence was
continually being poisoned, burned and left to deny.

the falls fest and splendour are this areas biggest cultural gatherings
and possibly the biggest in australia. splendour brings life and
support to the byron town, making money for all businesses that may be
in need. i believe our festivals are needed and are good for an array
of things.

We at Wonderlick Entertainment have had great experiences with our
artists playing at this location over the years for Splendour in the
Grass and Falls Festival Byron. The festivals taking place in the
North Byron Parklands are community minded events that allow musicians
and artists to share their work, bringing together people of all ages
and walks of life to celebrate themselves and each other. We can also
see the great benefits the events bring by actively promoting spending
in the local community, including a boost for local economy and small
business owners in the area. We wholeheartedly support the continued
use of this location as a permanent site for these and other events.

I wish to support the permanent use of the North Byron Parklands as a
venue. I have performed here at Splendour in the Grass and can attest
to the fact that these events allow for the music of up and coming and
established artists to be heard, the art industry of Australia to be
boosted, and a safe and healthy celebration of life for the rest of
all.

I support music, cultural, educational festivals in the area on a smaller
scale. I believe the immediate area cannot cope with the larger
festivals now. 32,500 is already too many people in such a short time.
I completely object to festivals that are larger than 30,000 in this
shire. Brunswick Heads / Ocean Shores was operating way over capacity
during the last festival 'Falls', held over New Year 2017/18, holiday
makers, festival goers and locals on holidays was too much for the
environment, families and hospitality to cope with. A better option
would not be to have a festival during Christmas peak season and and
have it at another time during summer - at least then the local
community can extend their season and better accommodate the influx.
Locals will then be happy as will visitors. This is a beautiful part
of the world and we can all enjoy it - festival goers included, but
lets be sensible about the numbers and consider how many other people
are trying to enjoy the area - particularly in holiday times. Again, I
support the festivals but not in the numbers they are aiming for.

These festivals are a fantastic part of the fabric of society up here.
This is an art driven area that attracts so many diverse acts and
talented people and not allowing these festival to occur at this site
will tell everyone that the doors are closed to music and art and the
town will move more towards business and money. These festivals also
bring fantastic crowds of people for a brief time and let them spend
money to support so many small local businesses both outside the
festival and those the set up stalls inside it.
