Because of the housing supply crisis, it is imperative this project is approved as soon as possible.
The provision of ground floor retail space and communal floor space, as well as a publicly accessible plaza, in addition to the 86 apartments, further makes the project a significant contribution to the local community.
However, the increased housing supply is the most important thing. As this project helps supply more housing, including affordable housing, it should be approved as soon as possible.

This large scale project has not considered traffic for residents along Auburn Road and Amy Street. These roads are unable to accommodate for traffic creating gridlock during peak hours. Without creating additional roads and thinking about traffic flow, this project should not go ahead.

To whom it may concern,

Members of the Strata Management Plan 5957 would like to put forward our rejection of the proposal of the development of 30-46 Auburn Rd, Regents Park, NSW 2143

While we recognise that there is a need for affordable housing in Sydney, this proposal will place an undue burden on the residents of Regents Park.

The large-scale nature of the proposal would lead to an increase in the traffic flow on Auburn, particularly during peak hour. As it stands, the stretch of road from the roundabout at Wellington Rd through to the roundabout at Amy St, does not cope with the traffic flow at peak hour on Auburn Road. By adding this development to Auburn Rd, it would intensify this traffic issue. If we are going to develop Regents Park, we need to have the infrastructure to support it. Nowhere in the proposal does it mention an upgrade of our roads or plans to alleviate the additional load it will contribute to the traffic in the local area.

Further to this, the electricity and water supply has been under sustained pressure for quite some time. These utilities are overdue for an upgrade and by developing the suburb without consideration to this issue will result in a poor outcome for established and future residents.

The proposal needs to consider the concerns raised above by either not proceeding with the development or including a plan to upgrade and support local infrastructure including roads, electricity and water supply. Failure to do so will be at the detriment of the residents of Regents Park.

Thank you

THE LOCAL INFRASTRUCTURE ESPECIALLY AUBURN ROAD IN PEAK HOURS CURRENTLY CAN'T SUPPORT THE TRAFFIC CONGESTION BETWEEN BIRRONG PUBLIC SCHOOL & REGENTS PARK STATION AND WHILST THIS APPEARS TO BE A THIN EDGE OF THE WEDGE BY ONLY STARTING WITH 82 APARTMENTS THIS WILL POSSIBLY ADD OVER 100 CARS DURING PEAK HOUR
THEN IF THIS 82 GETS APPROVED THEN THE NEXT 300 OR 400 WILL BE PUT ON THE PROJECT.
UNLESS TRAFFIC CONGESTION CAN BE RELIEVED SOMEHOW IT CAN'T BE A GOOD IDEA
ALSO EVERY FRIDAY AFTERNOON THE PRAYER HOUSE IN GUNYA AVENUE ADDS TO THE TRAFFIC & PARKING ISSUES.
THIS TRAFFIC IN PEAK HOURS IS MADE EVEN WORSE BY THE LOCAL SCHOOL ZONE.
THERE HAS ALSO IN THE PAST BEEN ELECTRICITY OUTAAGES ALREADY DUE TO INCREASE IN POPULATION.

WATER PIPES IN THIS AREA ARE OVER 60 YEARS OLD & ALSO UNDER PRESSURE.
