There’s a huge amount of space and potential here given exceptional public transport links. We should look to build a proper city, not just a village in such a great location as Olympic Park

I object this project as the Sydney Olympic Park area is already subject to many building construction and development. The area would lose its open space character if another high rise building is to be constructed. I fear that there would be a significant loss of natural light, as well as, an abundant of overshadowing in between Australia Avenue and the proposed project should this project proceed.

I support the Amendment to Building 1 by changing use of commercial building above the podium to residential, reducing podium commercial and retail GFA and changing building envelope by increasing building height from 21 to 34 storeys and redistributing floor space.

Not only will it significantly improve housing availability around Sydney Olympic Park, it will also encourage more people to use the Metro and Heavy Rail.

Dear Director Anthony Witherdin

I live in 2B Figtree Dr Sydney Olympic Park. I have received a letter (Application No: SSD-77820496) sent to me by you.

First of all, I would like to express my sincere gratitude for your trust in me, an ordinary resident.

It's a pity that my English is so poor that I can roughly understand the meaning of your letters with the help of a translator. However, even with the assistance of a translator, I still couldn't find a place to express my opinions after entering your website. I'll just give you a rough opinion through this email.

It was around last year that I received the planning transferred by the property management department. At that time, I gave the feedback as required, which meant that the building you planned to construct (address: 1 Figtree Drive Sydney Olympic Park 2127 Project number SSD 35283699 is just across one road (Figtree Dr) from the community where I live, approximately only about 30 meters away.

Obviously, once the planned building is completed, it will inevitably block the sunlight of some of the residences in our community and affect the lives of the residents in that area. Based on our experience, this will also lead to a decline in the housing prices in our community. Therefore, as residents of this community, my family and I hope to strictly control the height of this new building so that it does not affect the vital interests of the residents in our community as much as possible.

Kind regards
Michael Bonett

Please see attached Letter Stipulating Key Reasons for Objections pertaining to
1. Significant Lack of Infrastructure to accommodate residential buildings
2. Figrtree drive being too Narrow, Dangerous and Congested to accommodate higher population
3. Sever traffic build up on underwood road spanning well before DFO and on Australia Avenue
4. Major Parking Shortages with only short parking times available
5. Event Related Traffic Gridlock
6. Inadequate shopping and retail facilities to accommodate growth
7. No proposed infrastructure development to improve Congestion and narrow scope of Figtree drive and dangers
8. Impact on property values due to height of this residential building
Please see letter below stipulating key reasons and context

I am writing in support of this project. Sydney needs more housing, and this spot is well suited. 350 days a year, Olympic Park is the most overserved region for the public transport, and that's before the Metro line comes in. More people should give more vibrancy to a suburb that looks like a ghost town when there isn't a major event on.

I like this initiative as there will be more units for Sydneysiders and accessible to puic transport.

Increasing the height of building at 5-7 Figree Dr would limit the views out of the building and potentially diminish the values of the properties at 2 Figtree Drive.

I wholeheartedly support this. I’m a resident of SOP, and one thing sorely missing from the 2050 plan was sufficient uplift around the station. It’s great to see this, and to see the planning controls to stop getting in way of SOP reaching its full potential
