Chanel 9 Site - Construction and use of two (2) residential apartment buildings, including demolition of existing structures, basement, landscaping and associated works

Overall, the application seeks approval for the following works:-
- Demolition of the existing structures on the site within the bounds of the proposed Buildings B and E works,
- Excavation for two (2) levels of basement to accommodate 169 vehicles and other utilities,
- Construction of two (2) residential buildings, comprising:-
-Building B, which is to be six (6) storeys in height and will accommodate forty-six (46) dwellings,
-Building E, which is to be ten (10) storeys in height and will accommodate seventy-one (71) dwellings, a twenty-five (25) metre lap swimming pool and gym facilities,
- Landscaping works,
- Tree removal,
- Storm water management works, utilities and service connections.
The proposal seeks to accommodate one (1) retail premises of approximately 216 square metres in the corner of Artarmon Road and Scott Street.
The project is part of the 'Part 3A' Concept Plan (MP10_0198) approved on 23 December 2014 by the (then) Planning Assessment Commission for the redevelopment of the Chanel 9 site for up to 400 residential dwellings with non-residential land uses to support the new population to be accommodated.
