Extractive Industry (Sand Quarry) and Concept Approval for Future Recreational and Tourism Use

this application seeks to expand, deepen and consolidate two existing quarries into one with a total extraction of 1.9 million m3 (or 3,610,000 tonnes) over a period of 30 years. The proposed maximum extractive rate is 160,000 m3 (or 304,000 tonnes) per annum. The proposed extractive operations involve three phases commencing in the north and progressing southward with the final intended use to be a future public and tourist recreation precinct for water-based recreation, camping, education and environmental protection.
