Ongoing Operation of Bogo Quarry and Import, Place & Operate Mobile Asphalt and Concrete Batching Plans

The applicant seeks to:
• extend the operational life of the quarry up to 2046;
• increase the maximum approved production limit of 200,000 tonnes per annum to 500,000 tonnes per annum (with average of 250,000 tonnes per annum to 350,000 tonnes per annum);
• import, place and operate a mobile concrete batching plant; and
• import, place and operate a mobile asphalt plant
The applicant intends to import, place and operate a mobile concrete batching plant and a mobile asphalt plant on a campaign basis in conjunction with local and regional infrastructure/construction projects. The concrete batching plant would have a capacity of 40m3 per hour or up to 500m3 of concrete per day. Whilst the asphalt plant would have a capacity to produce up to approximately 1,000 tonnes of asphalt per day.
The concrete and asphalt plants would either be stored on site when not in use or dismantled and take off site as and when required.
All Quarry products would continue to be transported from the quarry by trucks following Paynes Road approximately 1.4km to where it meets with Hume Highway and then travel either east or west on the highway depending on the product destination.
